| In the right hand section of the west stand where the wire lot where, there was some violence with 3 men being kicked out. I was informed that they were 3 Warrington fans (not 100% sure) but they'd been warned few times. next minute there was punches being thrown on the aisles and one smaller older man with white shirt on grabbing another mans throat and another bigger guy with black top on bein restrained by police. The 2 of them were kicked out but were pushing police off them to try and get back in the ground. Frankly its pretty sad that they wanna come and fight when theres such an exciting game being played.

Well, you mustn't have seen us, then.
We were six supporters in the middle of the Wigan fans in the North stand.
We received some bewildered looks from some of the Wigan fans but I can say that every one was courteous and friendly towards us.
We were loud and proud as were the Wigan fans, and there was no worry or tension.
The banter was good and there were handshakes at the end.
Please don't confuse us with the mindless minority, which all clubs have.

| Putting the boot on the other foot, walking back past the coaches opposite the playing field a woman in a Wigan Shirt repeatedly hit a warrington speccy around the head with her handbag. He stood with his hands in the air saying whats that for, the response "Coz your'e wire scum'
Both Wigan and Warrington fans stood bemused as they watched what went on. Some Wigan fans even appologised to the bloke and said we aren't all like that you know.
It takes all sorts.

In all the finals over the years I've been against Wigan, hull, Catalan, bulls, Leeds and the giants it's always been a good family day out.
I can't see that being the case with the wolves fans!'"
you absolute f ing tool. Having been to the last couple of GF's I will not go if saints get there due to the amount of abuse and trouble your so called fans caused. there is often a little trouble at these events and those that caused it should be barred from all grounds. On the whole the big events are well attended by true Rl fans from every club within the game. but on the flip side you also get the glory boys who get tanked up and don't respect the game.

I just looked at that photo assuming its g*tty images 89710676 and what a surprise the four drunken s from row 14 who wanted to fight everybody mentioned in my earlier post are in the middle of the action, all shirtless, with the ringleader stood sideways on, nearest pitch level. The action looks to be taking place on row 6........ they were sat in row 14? must have been a bit boring for them up there so they jojned in on the hearest fight

| How do you work that one out.......... you can't even see them in the photo because of the stewards, or perhaps with your primrose and blue tinted spectacles on you are able to see things mere mortals cannot.
I can tell you now that the four shirt-less "two pint special forces troopers" in the photo weren't Wigan fans, and have travelled from row 14 to join in the mellee, now that's what I call travelling supporters
That said there's nothing to say they are true wire fans either as they didn't bother to come in your colours , but they were supporting your team - still, if you don't spend the money on the shirt, you can use it to fully cover the cost of getting pish'd up at every game of the season.

Another mindless idiot, in my view in the same league as the Minority who do cause trouble at matches.
I witnessed nothing but good spirited banter between both sets of fans, and it is disappointing to read of the incidents. But as this thread has proven to the pathetic Original Poster, the embarassment to Rugby League of odemwingie and AJ - Wigan fans caused just as much trouble as Warrington.
To not take action by calling the Police / Complaining to the RFL is simply cowardly. Any dope can hide behind a computer screen whilst choking on sour grapes. If you feel so strongly - take steps to resolve the problem.

All I have moaned about? or all wigan fans have moaned about in this thread? - if it's aimed at all Wigan fans maybe you should sit back and consider for a minute that maybe, just maybe we may have a point ........ we are not on here moaning about the behaviour/attitude of the Wire fans because we lost the game, it's not something we do, otherwise there would be a thread like this every other week as we have lost one or two games this season. No, it's because something different happened on Saturday to what we normally see from opposition fans that has got everyones backs up. However it's not something different to what we have seen from previous games with Wire - I hate wire fixtures because of this, it's always the same.
The atmosphere at that end of the West stand was very intimidating on saturday, in a very sinister, football-like, and unhealthy way. There was not much banter from the wire fans in that stand just massive amounts of goading from people with large chips on shoulders - I would not have liked to have been in there if you had lost.
Still you are in the final now, i hope it helps the chip carried by what appears to be a lot of wire fans a little easier to bear, maybe their behaviour will improve as it's weight lessens, although I won't be holding my breath. Then again if Huddersfield do you at Wembley it might just get bigger.
Saturdays game was a true spectacle and a great advert for rugby league and the best team on the day won - it's a pity that a great many Wigan fans couldn't enjoy it as that, as they were having to keep one eye on the opposition supporters.
Enjoy your trip to Wembley.

| Unfortunately, incidents happens at games like this. Fans are drinking from early on, and are hyped up, so get giddy and act stupidly at times.
I have seen it at plenty of Grand Finals, between Saints and Leeds, and Wigan and Bradford.
It wasn't Warrington fans on those days.

It was at the one I went to, the one when Sinfield didn't take the two points right at the end and opted to run the penalty - we had a posse of tanked up wire fans two rows in front of us in the leeds end of the ground, who once they found out a shedload of wiganers were sat behind them spent most of the match with their backs facing the pitch hurling abuse. I thought at the time WTF have they come to this game for at all? - Rugby was pretty low on their list of priorities that day, and they weren't bits of kids either.
I can't even remember the year or who the opposition was or whether it was a grand final or challenge cup, the only things that stick in my memory of that day are Sinfields massive dropped-bollock with that penalty when we were all screaming "take the two" and the s from Warrington sat next but one row in front of us

And do you remind your own fans of that??
They consistently call us scum regarding the SC fiasco.
On a seperate note, I work in Warrington.
All the guys at work are great, and there has been some mild banter about the match, but most are magnanamous in their victory.
I am having difficulty being really pleased for them as I like them, and squaring that with some of the keyboard warriors, and hooligans that were at the match on Saturday.

I havent heard your club called scum by our fans (certainly not on here) i've heard them called cheats and scabs which is fair enough. And whats more i dont condone calling people scum based on which team they support (maybe you do, i dont know) which is the point i was making, even when i have seen wigan fans dish out disgusting abuse to kids i never called all wigan fans scum, because i realised it was a small minority. Anyone who calls fans scum based on which team they support are watching the wrong sport.
