I agree but if he has even expressed the slightest interest I would be disappointed if we haven't at least made an enquiry. As stated in a post above I see Sam as a 7 so think we need a 6. Unfortunately I can't think of many world class stand-offs available and I don't watch enough NRL to make any viable suggestions.

That's the kind of player I see Sam developing into long-term. I think he would play better as first receiver. There's already been signs there were he has pushed his way to be first receiver and he looks like he wants to boss it. His support play and pace are more suited to 7 and being first receiver would enable him to attack the line more and utilise his step more if he spots a gap.

This is why if you read above, the team, I'd sign Myler and Long, Myler being our future 7.

The impact alone he’d have on the Wigan team with his organisation, leadership, knowledge, power, skill and drive can’t be underestimated can it?

I've watched him closely over the past couple of seasons after believing a while back that we should go for him but i've changed my mind.

He's allowed a bit of a licence at Wakey to try whatever he wants with alot of freedom. He wouldn't be allowed that here and fans would soon get on his back as he started to chip over the top on the 3rd tackle abit like Mighty Moran used to do!
