my honest opinion is no, we are not better, I think they are better currently which pains me as I work in Warrington.

There is an identical thread on the Wire board, we scored more than them, my dad is bigger than yours etc etc

I don't think there is much in it..either team could win a game against each other on the day.

Big test for us in Leeds away next in the league....that could go either way. I think there are five teams that will be battling for the shield with an improving Hull making it 6 very capable teams.

Great competition and great for the game.

My opinion isn't just based on tonight. Intact, tonight has hardly any bearing at all...

That was just a bit of fun...but he had a poor game by his own usually high standards, and first time for ages he's not been in my top 3.

i do usually defend him; but i dont think he played well tonight & i think he needs to start thinking more of how he can get the ball out to someone else to score rather than keep it for himself.

We were 42-0 up after 30 minutes, at that point we stopped. We could have easily ran in 80+ points tonight, but for whatever reason, we totally stopped. I can only assume it was under instruction from Madge, because they for/against was there for the taking tonight.

Letting them score was the sickner, though Child did his bit in terms of keeping Quins down there.

We took our foot off the gas in the second half - the game was won and we didn't want any injuries. Let's see how we follow it up - I'm pretty sure Warrington lost to Crusaders the week after a big win.

Who gives a f*ck about Warrington? If we look after ourselves with out game in hand we will be top of the league so everyone else is irrelevant, great first half performance by the boys today, Harlequins have always been a team that play better in the 2nd half so that would have been a big factor too.

I've been a massive critic of McIlorum but he was immense today, absolutely superb. Hope he can keep that level of performance up, we really missed him when he went off!

I'll give Quins some credit - they came out and tackled & ran a lot harder in the second half; their enthusiasm improved. Both teams then got sucked into a midfield slog-fest and made loads of errors. However, we were 42-0 up and going through the motions, as well as trying some training ground stuff for the last 50 minutes, no wonder we didn't rack up a cricket score.

And just as I was singing Childs' praises, he had about 20 minutes of brain-farts. Some comedy decisions, including when Sam got dragged behind the goal line. He could be a top ref but he's out of his depth at times.

We shouldn't judge our game by Warrington alone but their desire to keep going whilst on top is a real weapon for them but will count for little when it comes to the play offs.

We are so frustrating in those situations though. We look like a side that has total belief in itself that it's miles better then it's opposition most weeks but then that makes us switch off to a very poor level. It would never have cost us tonight against a side as poor as Quins(who were worse then Barrow last week imo) but it has in the past and will do again unless we alter that.

He did...the best bit being when he tried to give a Quins scrum after Sam's kick hit him. Not sure who eventually corrected him, but he must have got a call from somewhere.

We won by 48 points, scoring 9 tries, only let one daft one in 3 mins from time without playing anywhere near our best, plus we are on the same points as the league leaders with a game in hand which if we win will take us top. SOME WIGAN FANS WILL MOAN ABOUT ANYTHING!!

Sorry happy clappers but taking the first half into the equasion, I walked away from the game slightly fustrated.

We should have kicked on in the second half yet seemed to switch off and grind the result out at a slow pace and in a boring fashion. I wouldn't have had a problem had the second half score been the same and we we're throwing the ball about and trying new plays, but we didn't. We knew the game was won and that was that.

Boring and effortless attacking-wise in the second half.

I'm not a usual moaner but that was frustrating tonight. We're a good enough side to demand that little bit extra and when playing a side as poor as that everyone needs a focus.

We should count ourselves lucky we can sit here and have a little whinge at a 54-6 victory.

We did ease off. But if by doing so we leave ourselves a little more petrol in the tank for the rest of the season remaining, as opposed to Wire who go hell for leather week after week. Something IMO has to give, you can't put in 100% effort each week and expect to continue doing so. If by easing off means we have plenty of energy left come play-off time, them I'm all for it.

Don't also forget there was a lot of chopping and changing in that side tonight. And you do have to factor in that we have tough game in the CC next week.

We're getting better each week but are still a way off our best and need to improve. That doesn't worry me though as it'll come but maybe it should worry the rest of superleague. We've been a way off our best this season whilst Saints, Huddersfield and Wire have taken the plaudits yet if we win our game in hand guess who'll got top?

Fair point....but you'll have to improve if your going to get a result at our place.

Consistency and momentum going into the business end of the season is the key...I guess you'll be building steadily towards that. I just hope we haven't 'peaked' too early.

Its going to be great to watch isn't it and in all honesty I can't split us, Wire or Saints at the moment.

The most boring 50 mins of RL I can remember. First 30 mins we tore them to shreds, last 50 mins, boring. Really boring.

The Barrow game was dull but this was on another level.
