Jake Webster and Julien Rinaldi were the only players to get cited over the weekend, both for making dangerous contact. Crabtree also got a caution for kicking out. Guess we'll have to wait until someone else gets picked up for a chicken wing tackle and see what the punishment is then before we can continue the consistent and fair debate

Wigan had players last year who weren't cited for "chicken wing" tackles as well, even though penalties were given for them - best follow the club's approach, act with class and dignity and just pick up the trophies.

I think the only fair way to sort this is for Saints to loan Wilkin out to every club twice a season, to ensure that at least twice a season all foul play against that team is spotted. At the magic weekend he could do 5 or ten minutes per team.

What makes you think the RFL missed them?
Just because the player (O'Donnell?) is not before the disip comm does not mean they did not see the offence.
Of course they saw them, nothing is to be done about them obviously.

We were told that Lima was lucky to get one game per offence. The same player did the same offence as Lima twice in a game just like Lima did but he gets 2 penalties against and doesnt even get cited to be given even a warning? Its absolute fooking bollards

It depends how bad the actual offence is, context, situation etc. As I pointed out on the last page Wigan had players not cited for the same thing last season.

Lots werent last season but this season the first instance we saw of it was by a Wigan player and he got cited and banned. Surely as a matter of consistency the same goes for any player doing the same?

Other player where banned last season for it when Wigan player's weren't. Just because it was the first game of the season when it happens doesn't mean everyone who commits the same offence deserves a ban.

Lima didn't help himself by doing it twice in the same game - hence why he got the ban he did.

if the rfl are going to actually stop this from happening then thay have to be consistent. see too many time the ref will penalise one thing then not when it hapens again and looks like the disciplinary are taking up the same policy.

Exactly they've set a precedent now and they need to be sticking to it. Can you imagine if someone from Liverpool killed 3 people in the exact same way as a guy did from Manchester but because the Judge was from Manchester he sentenced the Liverpool man to 30 years and the Manchester man to only 15? He'd of set a precedent with the Liverpool man and would have needed to be consistent.

I dont disagree with Lima's ban AT ALL I just wish that if they are gonna ban a Wigan player they do the same to another player whether he plays for Wire, Saints, Crusaders or whoever!
