i'm pretty indifferent about mid-table teams

i remember been on the train on the way back to glasgow from edinburgh after the 2002 cup final. i was on the train with my then other half when the entire carriage filled with saints fans. i was on my own with my wigan shirt on. first thing that happened was one of the supporters came up to me, shook my hand and congratulated us on a good victory. had some good friendly banter on that trip and thats what its all about.

Now come wigan smash the scouse barstewards tomoz.

In the 80 minutes of the game I do hate them, no other team over the last decade has given me more heartache than them men. We can talk about our great history but unfortunately theirs overwrites it at the moment no matter how much we try to swing it. The only ones who can change that is ourselves. As far as it goes before and after, I've got many great friends who are Saints fans who actually don't go to as many games now as they used to because of the new breed Saints fans. But before and during the game we don't speak, more of a sign of respect more than anything

Just respect between fans really, its all about the bragging rights. Saints have had their success in the past decade, ours was the one before that. Now lets make this one ours too! Cmon Wigan!

I din't like Warington's play acting against Hull K R. Two players looked as if they were being choked to death and the ref fell for it.
I have no problem with any of the Saints' players.

i (a 20 year old girl at the time) got stopped at the grand final by a 30 odd year old leigh fan asking me "what the f*ck is that sh*t" i was wearing . i assumed it was the super league badge on the sleeve confusing him a bit.

I wouldn`t say I hate stains BUT I only support two teams Wigan and however is playing St Helens unless they are playing Warrington then I wouldn`t support either of them.

What have I done



Should the thread title be changed to "If you don't really mind St Helens that much, but despise Warrington post here"

I am of the same opinion.

I HATE St Helens as much as I hate Margret Thatcher and to be honest I don't hate anything else on the Planet. Apart from going to KR the only other time I have been there was to attend a wedding, just the name makes me want to vomit. If they do get to Wembley I don't care if they play Wire or the even Taliban I will be shouting for their opponents.

Have to say when i first read this thread i was a little confused!!!

But i have to admit that while i hate your club i love the fact that we are rivals and i love derby matches. NO other team generates an atmosphere like Wigan fans at KR. That year you nearly went down I, and all around me agreed that a league without Wigan was unthinkable. The stronger you are the better the league. I am going tomorrow with my wife and 4 year old daughter, I prefare it when both teams are strong. I know we have had the last decade and you did before that. It is nice going to the DW not being favorites, kinda makes it more exciting. I think we have every chance of winning, but also think we have every chance of loosing!!!!

I just hate the post-1996 Saints fans.

Spot on, my closest friends in Billinge were avid Saints fans from early 90's to about 2003, they still are fans but dont go to games near as much as when they were growing up. They got a lot of stick off me! But hey they've given it back but they've said themselves they end up arguin back with some of the speccies now when they do go. Can't see anything different if it's not given to them on a plate.
