That's a good point. I never even thought of that, it would serve well in the RFL's argument for an English/NZ ref (not much chance of a French one, christ he's awful).

That should be in the main point in the RFL's case and i'm sure it is.

It can't be an easy transition going from a 2 ref system all year to being the sole man in charge of such a big game.

We use our ref, just like they'd use (historically proven) their ref over there. Simples.

Wire_Yed, you forget that if we play the aussies at anything resembling RL then we lose. So we need to change the ball, width of pitch, and we need to be allowed to hold on for at least twice what they can hold on for, otherwise we lose.
