My money's on being away at Celtic because of the Noble factor plus they've already beaten us once.

What about Catalans away in Spain before the end of July.

I've heard a rumour that Wigan may get the Barcelona game next season.

Did you go for the Wire game there?

I'd love the Celtic game in Wrexham as well but sadly I think Saints or Wire will get that one.

Anybody away but catalan remember the 1st 2 years we went there for the 1st game of season.I would think we will be at home 1st game as our proper 1st game last year was at hullfc.

If your refering to the rain, I remind you that we also got similar rain on Easter Sunday this year when we went.

I'm not one of these who thinks we should go deep summer. I'd rather go early when the Catalans are proven to be more vunerable at home. The weather isn't the attraction for me. It's the beer!



But in general I'd rather start with an early away game weekend that sees the hardcore fans out in numbers at any of the three places I mentioned. We've had a few seasons of starts like that (Catalans 06 & 07), Harlequins (08 & 09).

It would be nice to not have to go to Hull early on a Friday Night next year.

plus the first time we went it was lovely weather - we were on sky at the beach!

Its from a weather point of view would be nice to get them later in the season maybe last away game of season in sep would be nice. We mite even get leeds awat as we often play them early on in the season at wigan.

I know what you mean but I just think early to France just mean one less grim away trip here like Hull FC on a Friday!

A big local derby for the first game - at the JJB. Then Leeds at home in the Summer for another big crowd. Hopefully on a Saturday evening to get more fans in [Those from Leeds who get stuck in that mythical vortex on the m62 on Fridays. Saints on last day of the Season - it's just the best way to end a season.

Quins or Celtic away are my two favourites. Nothing like kicking the season off with a nice boozy weekend away

No cos I'll be back in England by then. Anyway I'd prefer they played in Catalonia. Barcelona ideally

I've heard that from a couple of people over here. Next time I see my mate who plays in the Catalan championship I'll ask him. He's the one who told me they were playing Wire in Barcelona last time.

I meant the ground! In my latics supporting days, when you could afford to travel away, Wrexham's Racecourse was a joy to visit. Great away end for noise. I suppose we'd end up on the home terrace though if we played there which isn't as good.

I wouldn't say I stopped supporting them I still listen on the radio, I just don't go to games anymore. I followed them like the rugby home & away for a good few years when they were in the lower leagues but the premiership's just not the same. Whelan annoying me was the last straw. Too expensive, too many pre maddonas on the pitch, no player loyalty and they let the lower leagues suffer whilst sitting on billions.

Anyway I still remain proud of my town and always will even though many choose to support one or the other, I choose to support both.

Yes, we stayed in Salou and travelled into Barca the morning of the game, had a great time, would recommend it to anyone. I was told a month or two ago Wigan were the team to play in Spain next season, guess we will see in the next couple of weeks if its true.....but if it is, get yourself over there.
