No, Darrel Goulding might not make it into the squad if everyone was fit, and he's been outstanding. Answer this question, did Pryce do enough wrong yesterday to warrent a 9 page thread about how terrible he is and how enthusiastic he looks.

Personally yes, I'd like to see this backline at full strength:

1. Roberts
2. Pryce
3. Gleeson
4. Carmont
5. Pat

Plenty of size, power and speed. Would be very dangerous in the oppositions 20 zone.

As good as a clubman Phelps has been for us, I don't see him in a position where he can settle in at, especially when the best fullback at the club is Roberts.

No he didn't but 8 games in 2 1/2 years does

He was five yards away from the line with no momentum and had just been hit by two defenders who had all the momentum behind them. He did very well not to be shoved back.

No he wouldn't get in the starting squad but i can't see what that has to do with anything? Is he a better winger than Roberts or Richards? No he isn't but neither is Ryan Hall, Scott Donald, Matt King, Fox, Gardner, Goulding and a lot of players in the NRL as well etc etc.

Are they all bad players now? What exactly is your point?

And again what actually did Pryce do so wrong yesterday that you can label his performance as a shocker?

I don't think he would to be honest, Phelps for me offers a bit more in attack from fullback and I prefere seeing Richards and Roberts on the wing, so I wouldn't want to drop Phelps because one of them would then have to drop off the wings, don't get me wrong, thats a tough call to make, but I think Richards and Roberts offer more on the wings than Goulding does, but thats a whole different kettle of fish.

Right, so he wasn't even fit for a year of it, so he's been available for one and a half years. He's had a few starts and hasn't done that well so he's been spending time in the reserves trying to get some confidence back, then he gets back in the first team and does an OK job, that performance last night didn't warrent the criticism he's getting here.

Agreed, some on here would have bagged Greg Inglis and never given him a chance (and before they all go mental, if you know ANYTHING about Inglis you'll know he's often quiet and looks off the pace early season). Is Karl Greg? of course not, but lets just give a guy who did nothing wrong a chance.

The club when we signed him was part at fault, no it doesn't the fact he's still at the club is mind boggling

If he's done a good job in the academy why is he not showing improvment for the first team?

Come on, be fair. He's played one game in the first team and put in a fairly solid performance. Nothing outstanding or flashy, but got the job done. Just like you wanted to withhold your praise of Roberts after the crusaders game till you'd seen more, why not withhold your criticism of Pryce until you've seen more of him in the first team under Madge?

I'm my memory is any good i think it was the cas game when he played 6 and got booed off (for the record i thought that was way out of order)

His last outing being the round 27 last year away 48-16 tonking at hudds? where he made an appearance at centre as a substitute?

Or his outing before that being the narrow round 20 home 24-22 win against Catalan where he was brought on at stand off as a substitute?

McGuire on Pryce's performance after the game, "He has turned a corner and, if he maintains that, he will get a lot of opportunities."

What ever people's thoughts of him are only McGuire's opinion really matters, and from Madge's reaction it won't be last we see of Pryce.

But he hasn't been de-briefed by King Warrior Yet so he may change His opinion of him after that insightful chat!
