I would of loved to have been a fly on the wall when IL met Noble after the game. You said what before I read the offical statement written before the cas game (just in case).

He keeps saying that word again "Business". To him we are a business to us Wigan RLFC is a way of life. I don't like the word business being used in rugby chat. Leave that talk for in the boardroom.

I don't agree(trust) with much that Lenagan comes out with alot of the time but fair play to him for his honesty on last nigths preformence. He said that we played 'ok' and thats about as good as it was. It was a game there for the taking and we came up short yet again.

I wasn't one in the camp of being 'proud' or 'pleased' with the preformence last night. The effort and guts may have been there but we just didn't play well enough to deserve the win.

Without world class players mixed in, we will win nowt and it won't work. Look at Leeds (Peacock, Webb, Ali L), Saints (Long, Gidley, Cayless, Sollia - next season)

We need the Barrett's & Renoufs for both on and off field reasons and I worry that for one reason or another IL doesnt understand this.

I think the story thats going round is that IL hasn't actually put the money in [iyet[/i. He agreed a deadline with Whelan for when to actually pay the money by.

the biggest rumour (and I think it is just rumours) is that IL doesn't actually have cash to pay up, as his money is tied up in assets. So he'll need to sell a few of those assets in order to get the cash to pay Whelan.

I haven't heard of us going back to Whelan's control though, I've heard another businessman has already said he'll replace IL if he doesn't come up with the money in time.

We'll see what the future holds though. I suppose it could just be one of those stories started by a fan that doesn't like the fella and wants to drag their name through the dirt. Just like all those Saints fans who have come out saying that Graham has punched Mick Potter in the changing rooms, and Long and Cunningham don't talk to him. Funny enough, those rumours about all the players falling out with the coach only came at a time when Saints were losing.

This sounds like pretty much Wigan's version of that kind of story. People not agreeing with what's going on and making their own stories up.

You have to say he is promoting the youth but also expenditure has decreased and profit will surely increase in the next few years!! Its a fine balance.

Thats been doing the rounds for some time. The problem sometimes can be someone is asset rich and not exactly cash rich and needs to turn assets into cash this could be the case here.

What a depressing thread...

Some of the vitriol against IL is unbelievable, as is the way that Wigan fans are at each others' throats.

Look, Noble has gone. Most people who wanted him to go (a) did not think he was a bad coach, just that he had had his chance and its time to move on (b) acknowledge that there is a risk the new coach may not be better than Noble.

We all need to get behind the new coach (and IL) and give them support. BN has left a solid platform, we have some great youngsters coming through and we know that Leeds and Saints are nothing special.

Lets look at the opportunities here - this could be the dawn of a new great era for Wigan.

We need to aim high. The target should be to match the standards of the top Aussie sides.

We did it before; it will be even harder these days with the CC, professional RU and those out to get the Wigan club in the RL establishment, but we can do it again, we can build another great side around the golden generation of young players emerging at Wigan.

We need IL and the new coach to set out the goal of being the best in the world again. We also need the fans to back the club in the fantastic way they did during the relegation season when we showed that the greatest club in the world has the greatest fans in the world.

Dont know how true it is but this has been doing the rounds for some time now. It could have been brought about by the one about I.L. still owing Whelan for part of the club Allegedly. Who knows only time will tell it will all come out in the wash as they say.
