You weren't this year either.
No pub would serve us before 12.30...
£4 a bottle of cider/lager, absolute rip off.
£4 a burger or hotdog, all of which looked sh*t.

| Plus add a quid on to that if you wanted a splash of gravy on those chips.
2 lots of chips & gravy was the extent of my spending at the ground this year.
I have to say that I was disappointed that the Beechwood Bowling Club, which did EXCELLENT food (served by the WI I think), and cheap ale last year was locked up.
Maybe just because it was Sunday?

| I took a couple of bottles of coke and my hip flask filled with JD on with me. Only bought two cups of tea (£2 each) when on the ground. Looked like most people didn't buy any soft drinks in the ground and just walked upto the Iron Bru stand. Thought the entertainment on the fields at the back were an improvement on any of the previous Magic weekends. If it is back at Murrayfield next year i won't be going up.

| To all the whingers... Dont go next year then!!
I thought it was a fantastic day on Sunday as did just about every other fan (of many clubs) i spoke to, a thumbs up to the organisers. To listen to some of the whinging on this thread the people that didnt go that are reading this probably thought it was a disaster for those that made the trip... which it wasnt!! If the fact a beer was 80p more than a normal pub puts you off then i have nothing but sympathy.
Murrayfield again next year please rfl!!

| £4 a burger, i wished i'd found that - all i could find was cheese on toast £3, meet on a roll £6. I starvin when i got home. Glad i managed to smuggle a few cans in my bag, saved a few quid. Overall still like the magic weekend, have no comaprision to cardif - as never went. This year prob not as good as last, only cause it was colder. Found the fans zone this year which was really good. Nice to mix with all the fans chatted to a few bradford fans who werent too impressed with their team, the salford fans were good. One guy had spent £500 on the weekend, said it was their wembley.

£4 a beer would be manageable but £4 for a carling is taking the p**s. Don't know what pubs you drink in but most I go to a pint is between £2.30 and £2.80. I'll be there next year regardless of where it is but don't think it's unreasonable to complain about unaffordable food and drink.
My general impression of Edinburgh is that it isn't rugby drinker friendly hence why we only went for the day this year and not the weekend. If they don't want us there perhaps we should oblige.

You only want to go back because you can have another hoop-hugging session like you did today. Can't help but think that JB, Rogue Senior and his Tiny Tim are rubbing off on you

Has the extra tax on strong pear cider come out yet?
I remember been totally outraged when I found out that Alistair Darling included that in his budget. My pear ciders on Saturday night at the pub where £3.50 and up.
Absolute rip off!
Mind you if buying pear cider keeps the bars open then I’m fully up for it. Still I think Mr Darling has got it very wrong about us cider drinkers.
It’s the Alcopop kids he ough to be targeting.

| You need to do your research. On the North West corner there was a pass out gate that led to the Ice Rink bar.
Much, much cheaper in there (£2.80 a pint) and less than a minute from the stadium.
Best kept secret for the two days.
