Got 4 tickets down stairs here i might go in the north cause i've never been in there

Watched the Leeds game at home when we got thumped in Marmaris.

There are rafts of bars pal that will put it on if you ask them. We'd only got to the hotel an hour before the game and went straight out, round the corner and asked at the first bar we came accross and got it put on no worries.

I've been to Marmaris 3 times and must have watched games in 5 or 6 different bars.

Thats where i'm gunna be mate! I'll be the one in the retro Cantebury style shirt!

I was dreading the att when i heard the game was on sky but hearing the news that heinz have bought the north stand it shouldnt be too bad. Does anybody now if they have bought every ticket for the stand if so it will be at least 14000 att.

Why they done that.....surely thats costing em a bomb?! or is it just theyve bought the quins allocation...in that case 12 tickets

IF they buy 5000 at £16each it would cost £80000 not that much out of a multi national company.

good opportunity to pick up a few new fans for us though....good move from wigan and mr leneghan if we've managed that.

Just shows as well to all the shatics mob....we're still the main draw in the town despite their premiership status, when a national company based in wigan want to treat their employees with a wigan rl game!! dont see em clamouring for shatics tickets

Tickets are £16 unless there is a deal on that most people are un aware of.

As I said theyve bought them for a rugby match not a shatics game

Apparently Heinz have already shifted 80% of them and have had to reduce the number each employee can have (from 6 to 4) due to demand

As for cost, il will probably have done a deal with them, and BT rent Alton towers for a day, so it's probably quite a cheap staff treat really.

Heinz bought all of the tickets as part of a larger sponsorship deal. Mick Hogan has posted about it on t'other messageboard.

Whilst these tickets may be distributed free of charge by the sponsor (Heinz) they are actually one of a number of rights bought as part of a larger sponsorship deal.

How they plan to distribute the tickets is down to them. Some sponsors use tickets as competition prizes in the local media, some reward staff with them and others use them to incentivise customers. Heinz have chosen to reward their staff and retired pensioners who used to work there as part of their 50th year celebrations. Its a tremendous gesture by Heinz and one we fully support as a club.

To re-iterate although these tickets are given away they are not 'free' tickets. They have actually been paid for as part of a sponsorship deal at the start of the season.

As a club we are very strict on where complimentary tickets go. We reward charities who request them to raise funds, certain staff members and use a small number for promotional purposes. The quickest way to de-value a season ticket holder's committment is to dole out thousands of free tickets each game. This club will not now (or in the future) adopt a mass free ticket strategy.

When i went for my KR tickets on Monday morning, there was plenty of old folk gettng their tickets as part of this Heinz offer.

and putting em on e bay to top up their pension fund.

Last time I was at the JJB it was a free for all in the East Stand.
