I thought Fielden was much improved if I'm honest. He seemed to have a bit of fight tonight

im glad someone mentioned fielden WE have given him so much stick recently

Fielden was much improved. I lost count of the times he bumped tacklers off. Might not look very effective in going forward but it makes the Saints defenders make twice as many man tackles.

we,ve got to give credit where its deserved. the forwards are now at last starting to lay are halfbacks a platform to play on. so well done to them and well done to every player for making it count. lets keep it up now hopefully fingers crossed, gooooood times ahead. credit to nobby as well got it spot on today. long may it continue.

it's pretty much been the same 3 in different orders for 3 weeks now and fair play to the lot of them.

Coley and Smith are making big cases to be kept on and Lockers is just going from strength to strength........a shoe in for England and the superleague dream team at the moment.

Ive never been a massive admirer of Prescott but his workrate was sensational as was Roberts (no-ones mentioned him much). The way Gaz constantly steamrollered Shirley long out of the way was beautiful to see.. Every one of them superb but Smith on confidence is as good a player were likely to watch in superleague this season and he absolutely ran the show..

Although at the time we all agreed it was very difficult to pick anyone out as it had been a very fine team performance, almost flawless intact.
Just like it was difficult to name anyone who had played poorly.

Smith - the first set of 6 he showed the ball then played a cut out pass to the wing - better slight of hand than anyhting we've seen at wigan for years.

Smith - Controlled everything, genius
Prescott - Go forward was terrific tonight, shows what a bit of form can do
McIlorum - Never seen him play like this tonight, attacking and taking on the line of defence. Made some good runs.

The ones who made the real difference IMO:

1. Timmy
2. Tommy
3. Hock

Also Locky, Prescott and Coley. It was a tough choice to put Hock in at 3 instead of Locky but Hock probably just about gets it as he caused so many problems for Saints.
