He can be a good player but his minds on the hard man routine more often than not and his body looks absolutely knackered.

I’m 12 months and a bit in to watching Lams Wigan and we look no further forward and I still don’t know what our style of play is. He talks a great game about attacking rugby but our style of play is as more cautious and safety first than at any point under Wanes reign. It looks an unorganised mess most of the time.

And this doesn't happen over therrrrr at Wigan?

It can be. Far too big at times.

Always an intense battle and a bit of a slog, but I expected nothing but a Wigan win with the number of players we have sitting in the stand.
The one thing I don’t understand is signing players like Hastings and French (as well as having Hardaker), then playing nothing but one-man rugby.

I have to agree,there’s little to no knowing who or what players are up to,if this is the fabled attacking style he was supposedly being well it needs to improve and quick

We've now lost 7 of the last 8 there now which is impressive from you men. Even when I think back to our glory days in the 80s/90s it was 'always a game' there.

100% yet he seems to have a dislike for forwards who can make dents in an opposition line. He’s learned absolutely nothing from the Saints and Salford play off defeats.

I think Lam is next to useless and I wish he would just stop giving pre match interviews as they are a total waste of time.

I can honestly see Toronto winning next week. Two games in and two very poor performances.

With the players Cas had out that was an opportunity to pick up a couple of points from a place it’s hard to win at and Lam goes and evens it up by leaving players like Greenwood and Bullock our and picking young players like Harvard and Bryne. Very poor selection.

As to Lockers and penalties, the less said the better.

I think it helps us that the game always seems to be on a Friday (or Thursday) night, so there are very few Wigan supporters there and it turns into a very one-sided kind of atmosphere.
There aren’t many teams who can boast a much better record at WR in the last six years though.

He’s got Jackson Hastings and Bevan French as pivots, yet not once did they seem to have any kind of combination. I kept expecting some kind of planned move, but it just never happened.

Harry Smith kicking game literally the only positive tonight.

Was thinking during the game that Cas must’ve seen our team sheet tonight and thought ‘thank you very much’. It was as though we tried to match them man for man with inexperience.

I don’t know what Bullock and Greenwood are doing to Lam in training but we need some punch from somewhere. It’s unfair to put 3 young props in alongside Ten minute Tony. There’s giving players chances and then there’s killing them. All 3 of them should be your 4th prop at best and maybe even your 5th and they should be eased in.

Byrne was ok but rest of the pack were embarrassingly bad. How Clubb gets a shirt is beyond my imagination

The hard part for Lam is that he has no credit in the bank, no form or history as a head coach. He was given a huge amount of slack last year because we hadn’t invested properly in the squad and suffered injuries but those excuses have gone. Even during the good run last year, we never looked slick or well drilled, we never looked like we had a style of play. It’s very early days this year but the signs look poor to say the least. He hasn’t learned from the play offs in terms of personnel and we still look like it’s our first few games under Lam. The spine is different granted and that buys Lam some time to get it right but I wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger come Easter, if things still look as directionless.
