Where've you head it? Hopefully its a lie, high wages and can only play probably less than half a match, a team like us can't afford that and what is 1 or 2 of our props get injured and hes only playing less than half a match, wouldn't be the best signing for me.

He wouldn't, we haven't got a good enough pack to carry him, we could get other forwards who would do a better job than him for the kind of money he'd be on.

Coley say's it's been one of the most enjoyable seasons he's ever played, and that all being well if he's fit and ready and the club still want him, he may also play on after the 2011 season.

If his body can handle it and he's still in excellent form then I would not be in adverse to having Andy Coley beyond 2011.

However, I have this niggling doubt about how good he could be if coached properly.
I saw him score two tries for England U18's v Australia a few years back, against the likes of Inglis and Feliou (sp).
He was very good that day attacking wise but he was defensively a little suspect. However I do believe that he has raw talent, and above all pace.
At the right salary I'd take a chance.

Its definitely not Wigan who should be taking that chance though - we're not in a position where we need to take risks.

Although I agree there is a lot of potential in Craig Hall.

For me the re-signing of Andy Coley is as important to Wigan as any of the three signings from Melbourne as for the first time in many years we will have a pack of forwards that can consitently compete with any other pack in Superleague and we will have real strength in depth.

Although our forwards have been excellant this season we have looked vunerable when injuries have occured and particularly when Andy Coley has been injured or suspended. The prospect of having a pack of forwards that contains Coley and Lima is mouth watering and i hope that we can also keep Stuart Fielden on for another year to compliment them.

A dominent Wigan pack will allow Finch to have a big influence on the 2011 season.
