We need to start playing better rugby first. How's a fan supposed to "get up" for a game when you walk to the ground unconfident about beating a Salford side we beat the week before. Noble also needs to fook off, that would give the fans a huge lift.

Number One priority to us, would be D. Lockyer, yes he’s a 6, the guy could play 6,7 and have a half decent shot of playing well at 1 still with the knowledge the guy has of the game.
M. Orford comes in at a close 2nd, proven winner, great attitude to the sport, great kicking and passing game, proven the ability of playing under pressure.
B. Kimmorley is a no, no at his age and current standard.
B. Finch is an interesting one, a player who walks from a club, do we want that sort of player? Will he leave Storms if they don’t sign anyone might sign another deal. He is a very good player, NSW quality.
.'"
This is really not a great idea. Moving your half backs about in the match is a recipe for lack of consistency.
Further, what makes you think Lockyer is going to be playing at 7? He is a 6, or a fullback. Not a 7.
Why is Kimmorley a no no? He is having a great season with the Bulldogs. But I guess you have not watched the NRL in any great depth.

It's inconsistent until them players are use to doing it regular, like our current team, can't consistently do the basics
The qualities needed as a 7, are by far covered in Lockyer's CV, he'd have no problems playing that role.
Kimmorley yes a no no, a great season is abit over the top isn't it? I watch as much NRL as I can, but I can't watch it all the time.

How do you know that Lockyer can play at scrum half to the required standard when he has not played it before at a high level? This is just daft! If you want a stand off, buy Lockeyer. If you want a scrum half, do not buy a stand off! Pretty simple.
If you have not, by your own admission, seen much of Kimmorley this year playing for the Dogs, how can you cast a serious judgement?

Many moons have passed and still no signed deal at Brisbane
Show me a recent link of Brett K to SL. He's a no simple as, no need to explain.
As for playing Lockyer at 7, after many years of watching the guy play the sport at the top level, I feel, as I suppose many will on here, he ould perform the role of scrum half with ease.

| Lockyer despite having dodgy knees could still do a job in superleague, he isn't a flash in the pan sort of NRL player who would fade into insignificance he would rule the roost and the Lockyer factor would propel us into the top 3. If we were in for a prop they would come for slightly less if they had the chance to play with Lockyer.
6- Lockyer
7- Leuluai
14- S.Tomkins
Also Morley and LMS.

Probably not. I'd say Smith being his international coach and the man who's give him his break at that level will have more of a baring.

No. I think the fact that Offiah is his agent will mean he goes to the highest bidder.

Am i correct in thinking that Myler is Offiah's first client?
If so then he will be wanting to get as much as he can out of the deal.

How unbearable is all this toing and froing from one name to the next?
Sometimes I yearn for a return to the days when the only gossip you heard was in the pub, and most of the time you took it with a pinch of salt.

I've read your posts you must take smarties what they sell in nightclubs which make you dance and talk crap.
Adam Mogg went to Catalans for the chance to play with Stacey Jones.
5 years ago if you had the chance of playing for Newcastle with Johns in the side for ÂŁ70 000 or just some rag tag team like Souths for ÂŁ80 000 or maybe ÂŁ90 000 you would sign fo Newcastle for the Johns factor, you would have more chance of winning trophies. Shimples!!!
If we signed Lockyer we would have more chance of attracting better players, we wouldn't keep getting knocked back like we do. See Lynch, Carvell, Long.
But if we did sign Lockyer we would need to sign 2 props an loan out Prescott. Morey and LMS would be my choices.

| It has occurred to me that IL is deadly silent because all the deals he's made with a new coach and new players is all boxed off, signed, sealed but just the delivery date to be agreed.
If that is the case then it's just a matter of wait and see.
No mention yet of the players OOC who may be retained or released. Only one has been re-signed that I know of, Tommy.

| Lockyer would be fine as a 7 Aus teams (inc the national team and Brisbane) often operate split halves during long periods of the game.
I still would sooner see a younger partner for Sam, someone for Sam to build a lasting partnership with. I would also be worried about the size of cap it would take to get Lockyer. We already have Fielden on a big chunk.

now lets be serious for a minute, amusing insults aside, why do you think signing Lockyer would propel into the top three? also, doy ou honestly think that any player would take a pay cut just so they could be the same side as Lockyer?
if i where stll plaing an i got offered ÂŁ95k a season to play at Wigan with Lockyer or ÂŁ105k a season to play at Wakey with Brough, Wakey would secure my signature.

But for the same money you would play with Lockyer. Signing Lockyer would probably pay for itself in increased gates and shirt sales etc. so as a business decision, as well as a playing one (get sam to learn off THE master) it makes sense.
