It would even give them a chance to wave to their kids Chardonnay, Bianca, Kyle, Abbi, Elly, Ellie, Emma, Kelly, Laura, Georgia, Bryony, Alex, Jack, Ben, Dom, Nicole, Louis, Aaron, Joe, Nathen, Conner, Kevin, chardony, paige, Billy-Bob-Jack, Storm, Brooklyn, Kenau and Darren as they clear the streets of Leigh and Hag Fold. Managed to get in from Higher End > Town Centre in the car via Orrell Post & Pem. Was pretty clear though their was a bit of back end slither at times, and only sketchy moment was driving down my street on to main road.

You can do it if you really want to...but do you really want to...I would still be in bed if I wasn't miles behind with work.

The main roads seemed reasonable in Wigan. Not enough to put your foot down but gritted so much to make them passable. Buses are back running and the trains never stopped anyway.

Im sick of this attitude, if you want to you could have got to work by some means, the sooner we stigmatise this CBA attitude the better and hence we would all be better prepared for a bit of cold weather.

on the continent they get it much worse than this and it doesnt bring them to their knees, they merely strap on some snow chains/ snow tyres/ snow socks and get on with it.

Depends what you do, I'm a plumber/gas engineer so I'm driving about all day in my van and currently working around Macclesfield, Knutsford, Bollington etc where there are loads of hills and country lanes. It was bad enough the last time it snowed just before Christmas it will be a death trap now.

What if you drive to work in your own car, do you risk your safety and safety of other if you have a bump not to menton the excess of your insurance if you do. It aint worth it.

I made it in today, from Ashton to Knutsford. Most roads are ok. Couldn't make it yesterday as J23 was shut; not to mention multiple crashes (mainly HGVs) that had crashes don the M6

Shouldn't you be at work?

I battled through the perilous conditions to get into Manchester today, it was fine really. The pavements were still more snowy than icy so easier to walk on and the trains were running ok, albeit a tad late. My dad made it into Manchester from Wrexham yesterday, he was interviewed by Channel M in his little bobble hat outside Oxford Road station.
