Good club with decent fans.

Leeds good club, players are tools as are a lot of the fans.

The true champions finished 1st I'm sure you will agree.

I hate to say it but I'd prefer Saints to win



Really dislike Leeds and some of my relatives are from St Helens so

If you finish top of the league, after 8 months and 27 games, and you've played the best 14 teams in Britain home and away in all different weather conditions, then you should be champions. Because thats the hardest thing to do. If league positioning doesn't matter, then why have it?

Just have 4 groups of 4, then knockout stages then a final and save the fans a load of money going watching games that don't matter. At least with the top 5 and top 6 formats the top team had a clear advantage.

I genuinely have no preference.

Saints. Plenty of friends who are Saints fans helps but the main reason being that they're a Lancastrian club. I'd never cheer a Y**kshire team in a final, even in a WCC game.

I wont cheer them either, just quietly hope that they win (although my next door neighbour wont let me hear the end of it if they do). I blame my Granddad for instilling me with more pride in being Lancastrian than being English.

Can't stand Leeds. From stroppy sly dirty McGuire to miserable moaning Sinfield to flat-track coward Bailey to big fat bitter Schofield, hate the lot of 'em. And their fans. They think Leeds is the centre of the world and love to masturbate their own self-importance. It's almost like they think Leeds is the gleaming capital of a small oil-rich country called Yarkshire instead of the dreary toilet it actually is.

Whereas I have a grudging respect for Saints, especially this season where they've struggled. They play tough, honest RL.

Overall though, I'm not really that fussed who wins.

I won't be cheering them on, hell I won't even be watching ! but they are from Lancashire, they're our old adversary and command respect for their players, their fans and the fact that they beat us fair and square.

Oh and because I don't like that whining little t**d Sinfield ...

Been sat here trying to figure out who i'd like to win. Can't think of an answer. Think its because im not bothered! Ha.

Wouldn't begrudge either of them though, Leeds have put in a mammoth effort to get to both finals despite the regular season that they had, not had a week off either.

But Saints have had more personnel troubles than the rest of the league and you can't help but admire the way their young side has performed this year. Plus even if they won they'll be nothing without Graham!

It's got to be Leeds then we can claim they are not legitimate champions as they didn't play-off against us.



Saints played off against us and won whereas if Leeds win it they will have done so without playing off against the side finishing second. You can't claim to be champions having avoided a team with a far better league record than you in the play offs.

Now had we a top five system in place rather than the idiotic one we have now, they would have had to beat us to get there assuming we lost to Saints in our first game (as we did). Then I'd probably support Saints had they done so.

Under a top five system they would have had to beat both us and Wire at some point. The competition is supposed to be a play off not a knock out and if you don't play-off against a side then you can't really claim it's representative. Saints didn't beat Wire either which just shows what a rubbish format the current system is compared to the top five system.

A few years ago with Longy, Cunningham, Price etc it would have been anyone but Saints. But this current lot have a certain admirable quality about them, with one or two exceptions.

Although I'm not a McDermott fan, it would be good to have a British coach pick up the prize, although I still intensely dislike some of the Leeds players.

So, toss coin, Saints. What is the point of rivalry if your rivals always lose in finals?

My dislike of Leeds doesn't particularly override the Saints rivalry. Therefore I'm mostly neutral and without much of a care.

Not hard to understand.

I said Leeds after Friday night but the more the weekend has progressed the less bothered I am. I just want a good spectacle now.
