| You will never beat standing for atmosphere, the nearest you will get is if a few thousands seats in the middle are deemed 'singing' seats so those of a more vocal persuasion can sit together and turn the volume up.
The amount of neutrals making a weekend of it is also on the decline. A lot of those neutrals came from the lower league clubs who had a dream, that dream has been taken away from us by the RFL and events such as the CC final will suffer as a consequence.
Personally Cardiff was a much better location for the CC final. A Rugby city with the craic on the doorstep of the stadium

| the first thing i noticed was on the old stadium there was terracing outside all around the ground where supporters all converged with bands playing around the place, no atmosphere at all outside the new stadium. also i really missed the marching bands we had in the old stadium, i thought the entertainment was rubbish. nowhere near the atmosphere of the old stadium inside, but having the middle tier empty doesn't help, and the music during the lap of honour just drowns out the crowd noise.

| I hate it. I hated it when I went in 2007 and I hated it this time round. It's poor. They need to sort out the joke that is club wembley too.

| Will never beat 1985 for atmosphere, officially 98 thousand but it's thought many hundreds scaled the walls, bribed the Wembley officials to get in that day. Wigan took well over 40,000 that day and was that packed you were unable to stand still as you were moved along in the crush like a wave. Still for me, the noisiest atmosphere to this day.

Couldn't agree more i've never been as squashed as i was at that game, although the 1988 final was pretty packed aswell, both had atmospheres that still make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.....simply awesome.

| Old wembley every time! Although that wouldnt have been as good if they'd had a louder PA and played music at the times when fans traditionally sing.

| What atmosphere, sterile environment, plasic cups on entry, small flags only, aged Stains muppets in Wigan end cheering on Leeds. And did I mention 8 pound return for 3 stops on the underground!

| not read the rest but has to be the old Wembley for me
this one has been built for one thing - corporate and money making (ok that's 2 but in essence its that same thing)
you couldnt beat the atmosphere outside the old place (and a bit in London as well) - cock tavern near Euston, the torch, wembley way and then the last couple of hours on the grass banks for a bit of banter with whoevers fans walked by
now you get nothing near the stadium unless you're lucky enough to maybe get into a bar or petrol station forecourt, and to top everything off if your daft enough to not take your own your paying over £4.50 a pint

| Didnt seem to be any atmosphere before the game as mentioned. We started a few songs on the Wembley walk prior to the game (mainly to people in Wire shirts) but no bands etc.

I loved this. As 'Er Indoors and the kids are all Warrington fans I've had to put up with all the 'jokes' for the last few years - it was a pleasure to watch them suffer for a change.
As for the Stadium - the view is streets ahead of what it used to be but frankly I'd rather have the atmosphere that we had in '85.

| As a facility it is the best stadium in the world.
For everything else it is pretty shocking. The atmosphere is terrible. The seats have huge gaps in between them, you could easily get 100,000 seats in that stadium.
I wish the bottom tier was standing behind the goals, it would be awesome.
I can't believe it doesn't have a roof as well. It should have for the money they spent. It would improve the atmosphere a lot.

| The atmosphere would be a lot better at these games if everyone stood up. Why are people happy to do it at grounds throughout the year and yet not for the biggest game of the season?

| Soulless place. No atmosphere inside or outside, no entertainment, no natural assembly point like the old grass banking
and worst of all "Olympic Way". WTF is Olympic Way?
It was my wifes first visit and she loved it, but like people who never went to central park, there's nothing to compare it too.
Lots of space in the seats though was good. Luxury for someone who is 6'3".

Should have used the tube more! Day tickets on Fri and Sat did quite a bit of "pub seeing". I luv me culture

| Well, I would take Cardiff back any day. Wembley stadium is large and impressive, the views are good etc, but it does lack a bit of soul. What I miss though, is the pre and post match atmosphere in Cardiff. There's nothing around Wembley really, except a few very, very overcrowded pubs and the odd forecourt. I've now been to CC finals at Old Wembley, New Wembley, Murrayfield, Twickenham and Cardiff, and in all honesty Cardiff is miles ahead as a match-day experience.

It has been called "Olympic Way" since it was built in 1948. It is usually called "Wembley Way" but that isn't, strictly speaking, the correct name. So you can't blame the New Wembley development for that one.

Oh well I'll blame Ritchie Mathers instead.
In all seriousness I never knew that.
