Send him out on dual registration to the Widnes Warriors to gain some experience, having dual reg players has worked well for us. Its not like he won't know anyone down at Widnes.

I honestly believe this would be best for all concerned.
Charnley deserves to keep his place on the wing. The club deserve all the players to be pulling together and wanting to be the best they can be, something that Amos doesnt seem to want at the moment.

I also think the club need the cap/quote space to bring in the best available players. Amos currently doesnt fit this criteria. with Carmont leaving, as well as the possibility of Pryce, we would have a massive chunk of cap space to bring in the right player to replace Carmont.

Especially if Hoffman leaves too, which looks to be the case after IL's comments at the FF.

We have to look at the future too. We have a quality academy system coming through and competition will get even tougher with the likes of Matt Russell and Ryan King progressing through the ranks.

Realistically it doesn't look like he will get his squad back so it looks like it's time he left.

No chance, outside chance he may play on another season for Wigan if not he's moving into coaching at Wigan thats one of the main reasons for him wanting to move here in the first place.

Deacs might not but Pryce is on the cards if you're desperate...

Big shame as he is a massive talent as proved at the start of last season, it further shows that signing a well known Aussie isn't always the best option.

If hes not going to play its a big chunk of cap wasted. Try and ship him back Oz if theres a club that would take him. On his day hes unplayable but these days just unplayed.

How long has he left on his deal. I remember it was a bit of a coup to get him over early and on such a long deal.

I can't see anybody matching his current salary if he's under contract still.

His deal ends next year.

I dont want him to go. It would be just our luck for him to bugger off to somewhere like Saints and reproduce the amazing form he was in at the beginning of last year. If he was to go, I would hope it would be to the NRL because I wouldnt be able to stand him producing that form for someone else in Super League.

Widnes could do far worse for 2012 if they're looking to recruit some superleague quality. If they can get him fit and confident then they'd have one of the best players in the league on their hands.

It would be a gamble for them but if they're wanting to make an impact they'll have to take a couple.

When do the new teams join the NRL? Theres bound to be space for him at one of those seeing as people on here were all saying that "theyre all gonna take our best players to fill the squads" etc etc...

Shame to see him go after we saw what a player he could be last season.

Far too much experience lost there for us not to recruit a couple.

Hes not getting near the Wigan 1st team atm so I dont see any NRL clubs coming in for him unless one of them starts getting hit with injuries in the backs. With the talent in the 20s down there they are much more likely to try a youngster than bring an out of form, 30 year old Amos Roberts over imo.

He isn't in the reserves because of his form.

It's because of his lack of it.

Roberts when on form is a first class winger its getting him to that level on a week on week basis which is a huge problem. I wondered why they didnt release Roberts at the end of last season because Goulding and Richards are the first chioce wingers and Maguire and Wane must have known the potential of Josh Charnley even then.

There would have been no point releasing him as they'd have had to pay him up and they were hardly going to do that.

If no club is willing to take him on Wigan have little choice but to keep paying him his wages. A waste without doubt and I'm sure Lenagan will think twice before handing out 4 year deals to overseas players again.

he will never fully recover from the injury he suffered. such a sad thing for a great player on his day
