Hansen will be the one most under threat imo.

Why though? He has played a handful of SL games so to say he will [isoon[/i be above players the experienced players in particular is stretching it a bit IMO. It's like saying Joel Tomkins will soon above Lockers at 13. He could well be in the future but not yet. Same with Mossop and the other 2nd rowers you mention.

The best thing for Mossop AND Wigan is for him to be out on loan right now. Good management by the club.

That would be good idea, more British clubs should do this. I think Wigan have the right idea in trying to link up with a NRL club. It would really benefit younger players.

I think he is our best prospect other than Tomkins. I think him and Prescott will make a great front row in future, both could be very Peacock style props.

Just as long as they don't do a Tansey and come back to Eurpe only to sign for another club.

Exactly, so Leeds didnt want him, thats their choice. He's been doing alright in a shocking Roosters team this year. So many young players could benefit from coming down here for a year, hope more do. Its great seeing more Brits in the NRL, 2 just isnt enough.

I'd send Liam Farrell down there tomorrow on a 12 moth scholarship.
Then I'd send Ian Thornley.

Mate the reserve grade down here is far better than in the UK, you cant expect a young lad who cant get in the Wigan team to get alot of playing time in the NRL. The idea would be to train with first team and learn. They would get their chance when ready. They would develop further than they would in the reserves at Wigan.

Didn't for one minute think they'd be getting first grade action. I was talking about reserve grade rugby.

Oh right, i misunderstood what you meant. If they play well enough they would get the opportunity, not many thought Tansey would see much playing time, but he's had a heck of alot. Saying that, how hard can it be to make the Roosters team this year?

Arguably the form scrum half in SL is Dobson and wasn't first grade in Australia.

Totally agree, he'll learn a lot more under Nathan Brown than he would under Noble.

And where did i say he would learn more under Brown than Noble. He would not get a regular first team spot at Wigan as we have an abundance of SR players. Where at Huddersfield he will get a regular first team place which can only be good for him and help him develop as a player as the reserves are good for young players until they get to a certain level then they need to be in a better competition. Like Moore from Saints this year he would not get in the first team at saints but plays for you every week.

While i do not think that was insinuated in the original post i agree that Brown will be a better coach for Mossop than Noble.

He's a huge lad and the fact that he can play prop will only help his cause. This spell at Huddersfield will do him the power of good aswell much in the way it has done for Scott Moore.

I'd expect him back next year and to be fighting it out with Hansen, O'Carroll and Prescott for 1 of 2 bench spots.
