Vagana is dog. Hunt is not a patch on Billy Slater. As far as coaches go how you lot can't be overall happy with Noble performance as coach after he's created a good squad from a team that was the worst in the league is beyond me.

I thought Vagana was past it however the world cup proved otherwise. Although still I wouldn't look to sign him.

It was tongue in cheek the coaches off contract but still it's something that should be discussed as Noble is off contract. The whole debate about Brian Noble is on another thread if you have an opinion on the matter express it there.

Thaiday would be a brilliant signing if IL could pull it off, always a handful in the pack. Didn't realise he was so young.

I'd still take Lynch over most apart from maybe Petro but Lynch has three years on him.

I'd take Andy Lynch purely for the british factor. It's going to become a lot more important in the next few years to reduce the amount of overseas players and if we can do so then we must.

So on that point I'd agree. But the quality coming off contract from Australia is staggering and if we're going to sign them we must do it now before the Aussie clubs retain them. All the best signings are announced mid-season. (Danny Buderus at Leeds, Riddell for Wigan, Crocker for Hull FC, Steve Menzies for Bradford, Ryles for Les Catalans).

Lockyer, simple as, one year deal with second year optional as pay as you play.

I'd go for Lynch, not just for the British factor, he just does what a good prop should do, defends well, runs hard but most of all he does the basics right, he never concedes silly penalties in defence, he doesn't try stupid off loads at the wrong time, he rarely knocks on at the play the ball and in the impact. I'd go for him in a flash over all those available from the NRL

I would go for Lynch. We need our quota spots for backs as we cannot produce good enough backs in this country.

At one point we were in the market for him. I think it was when Millward took over, might have been before.

Would be a cracking signing a real rough n tough prop forward and still has plenty of life left in him.

Bailey at 29 would be a outstanding signing and would put our pack right up with the best

That reads to me like he's looking at spending more time with his family but he's not retired? Maybe he's looking for a part time consultancy role……

Perhaps he was going to come to Wigan, but then watched yesterday's game and has decided that a future in his back-garden is preferable?

Hopefully he's seen it as a win win situation. There is no other way this team can go after yesterday and if he does succeed then he's a legend if he doesn't then he knows he'll walk into a Union job anyway
