Unfortunately i don't think any club will take much of a moral stand where a talented player is concerned. They know their rivals will happily take the player and the large majority of the fans are only bothered about winning. It might sound callous but ours very quickly got over the Hardaker signing, gave Flower a standing ovation upon his return, many pushed for Bateman to be next captain within a year of that incident.

And yet, we couldn't get rid of you the other week, and you were crying on both the virtual terrace, and Leeds board about it possibly even the wakey board iirc.

Joe Greenwood has said in WEP he wants to stay and fight for his place in the side. As admirable as I think that is and you’ve got to respect that attitude, ultimately it’s an attitude Wane built in, I just can’t see it happening for him with who’s in front of him. He’s a good player on his day but I’m not sure Wigan is his home.
