Sure. I'm not denying Cunningham is a feisty tackler. But Tomkins is only just walking so far as an RL career is concerned yet already he's been before the beak 5 times and I'm not sure when Cunningham's last sin binning was whereas Tomkins has already had one!

Exactly he,s already done this kind of tackle that has injured a player to Damien Blanch, Ryan Atkins and Kieron Cunningham. Also unsavoury moments at kicking at the ball when the opposition head is next to the ball, and we have a couple of incidents of kicking out to the face when tackled.
Like I said before if Noble dosn,t teach him to play hard but fair then sooner than later someone will sort him out, the more he keeps on injurying players than the more I want to see him carried off, perhaps this will be the only way he will learn. Tomkins the players are watching you.

Think you'll find there was no charge on any of the incidents that you mention.
You are going a little overboard accusing Tomkins of deliberately injuring players via his tackling technique - a player of his size will automatically tackle round the legs and sometimes the impact as a result may be around the knee joint. Personally believe there was no real intent on Friday and the incident was blown out of all proportion.
Do you want a witchhunt every time a player is injured via a legitimate attempt to complete tackle? In that case what about illegal tackles like Pryce / Wilkin on Grix that caused injury and went unpunished? Or Cunningham punching out at Stosic? Considering Saints offenders got off lightly in both incidents stated, I think there is a certain degree of hypocricy going on!!!

There is when a player has already committed to diving for the ball. And he has already been fined for kicking out in a tackle, just missing someone's head at the time (I saw the incident). He came extremely close to Meli's head with his boot on Friday night. People may find that idea funny but if he'd cracked the guy's skull then perhaps he would have been up before the beak for yet again behaving recklessly? Whether intentional or not, certain decisions he makes with regard to tackling need to be modified before he does someone a serious injury. The game is tough enough without players behaving either maliciously or recklessly when tackling.

Did someone teach Kieron Cunningham to play "hard but fair" when he fractured Stosic's eye-socket?
Cunningham's the one to watch. And Pryce if you care for your testicles.

Tomkins has more offences than Cunningham has had in 13 years of Superleague.
He,s only been playing "5 mins in superleague" and is already racked up 2 warning letters, a guilty charge- kicking in the face, £300 fine, refereee dessent report, a yellow card, and conceded 9 penalties.
I,m assuming he,s learn this acceptable Wigoon behaviour courtesy of the Terry Newton School of Gentleman.

This season alone... Cunningham has had 6 incidents of high tackles or strikes called up AND GOT AWAY WITH THEM.
Tomkins has had 5 calls, one for dissent, the other 4 for possible foul play.
Cunningham has fractured a man's eye socket with a punch to the face WITHOUT PUNISHMENT.
You can try and say Cunningham's the cleaner player, but you'd be wrong.

you mean Tomkins has been dealt with more.....Cunningham gets away with a lot. How can the RFL say punching someone in the eye isnt deliberatly trying to hurt him its funny its that crazy.

That's because, amazing though it may seem to you, he didn't actually fracture anyone's eye socket.
The RFL chose to believe that cunningham didn't actually intend to hit the eye at all. I choose to believe that too because there is no evidence in Cunningham's playing history that he is a dirty player. To aim for the eye socket would be dirty; to hit the eye socket unintentionally is reckless (as decided by the RFL, hence the formal warning) but not dirty.
Or perhaps you don't understand English and you are weird enough not to realise how daft you sound repeating something that is entirely factually incorrect.

How does one actually manage this? Did something supernatural happen to him to make him unintentionally 'jab' another player on the cheek?
If only Greg Bird had said this in court that he unintentionally struck his girlfriend on the face with a glass he'd probably be a free man now and playing at Bradford.

An indication of how much the game matters to all concerned can be judged by the fact that one player is defying a fractured eye socket in order to appear.
Wakefield prop James Stosic suffered the injury after being struck by St Helens hooker Keiron Cunningham in the Wildcats' stunning defeat of the leaders but coach John Kear insists the 27-year-old will be fit to face the Tigers at Belle Vue.
Kear said: "These things happen. The specialist has said he won't damage it any further so he'll get his shirt and his boots on and get out there. They play with worse than that!"[/i
