I'm not being funny but Chase's defensive abilities are diabolical, he always gets handed off yet most of our fans think he's amazing in defence just because he can put a big hit once every blue moon. His passing game is ok but not substantial for wigan he just knows where the gaps and where the people running through the gaps are. If you watch, most of his passes in the middle of the field are abysmal

Maybe it is cheaper at this moment in time to pay a transfer fee for Chase .Looks like we are not going to get a NRL player coming to SL with the increase of the NRL cap we would have to break the bank and blow the SC to get a NRL player .Put in perspective a transfer fee does not count on SC and if say we get Chase on the same pay as Finch on a 3 year contract would be alot cheaper than a NRL player and keep IL 's pay structure intact.

I think he's not rubbish the thing that should be debated here is not "should we have him" but "should we pay that much for him?"

Disagree as fans we should be debating whether he is a good fit for the team. However, the transfer fee is not really something that fans should focus on. IFL is a shrewd businessman and if it is ok by him it should be ok by us (IMO).

There is no debate to be had, it is for IFL to decide if he thinks parting with such a sum is value for money.

Perfect replacement for Tommy in my opinion and one of the best players in our league I find the criticism of his playing ability laughable, I only reserve questions about his character but if he performs to the best of his ability at Wigan we would be a grand final challenging side for many years to come. If Joel Tomkins price tag is £250,000 Rangi is certainly worth £350,000+

No doubt Chase has a lot of ability going off that video but he seems to have a right nasty streak in him which i dont like and loses his concentration at times. He would either be brilliant or another Dennis Moran. I seem to remember Moran looking like one of the most skillful players in the league at London and we all know what happened with him.

Chase is a nasty little S*** who shouldn't ever be given a Wigan Shirt , I'd rather see one of the young lads promoted to the first team than sign him..hopefully Tommy's injury will not be as serious as first thought..but if we have to get someone in then please don't let it be chase

I agree with this. I really dont like the nasty streak in him. I know players like Hock have a temper but you can tell that with Hock he simply just loses his cool before doing something daft. With Chase he really looks to have evil in him and intent on causing an injury. Ill never forget the way he tried to purposely cause what could of been a really serious injury to Tommy in last years England V New Zealand game.

Let him stay at Cas, he's not a team player and just plays for himself with his fancy dummies!!!. Cant see him fitting into the way we play.

Thats another example its just the one on Tommy last year stands out for me. Tommy was on the floor and Chase deliberately grabbed his foot and tried to twist it around. Could of easily of resulted in a broken ankle and i remember Tommy reacted furiously at the time as he knew what Chase was trying to do. Im pretty sure Chase even admitted afterwards that he tried to cause an injury.

I don't ever want to see Chase play for Wigan.

He's a foul little thug, who appears better than he is because Cas are, to be blunt, rubbish. If anyone pays £350,000 for him then they want shooting.
