I remember the Sia Soliola incident vividly. I said it was a chicken wing tackle right there and then. He deserves a one match ban for that as far as I'm concerned. As Cherry said it is a cowardly act, the bloke should know better.

HOWEVER, I saw nothing undue about the Jon Wilkin "incident" and neither did the referee. Now I admit I've not been able to watch it back, but I remember looking on the sky replays and seeing nothing. In fact, IIRC Eddie and Stevo said they couldn't see anything either - I might be wrong. But if we're going to appeal, I would appeal that one, because I saw nothing undue there at the time or after watching the sky replays.

You got me, there is no evidence as such, I can't give clear concise evidence as it was more of a prediction, which I believe would actually be true had it been Bailey. But yes, I wasn't being entirely serious mate.

For what it's worth I don't think the tackle on Wilkin was bad, and for Wilkin to do what he did was bang out of order. Playing the game myself I would never go crying to the ref about another player.

The tackle on Sia probably did deserve a one game Ban.

It doesn't say whether he pleaded guilty to both offences though. They are two separate issues and he could appeal against one of them. He had to plead guilty to the Soliola one, but I've watched the Wilkin one a few times now and still can't make anything out.

They were two separate incidences but they were both Grade C dangerous tackle offences so they were the same offence, two incidences. If the RFL judged him to be guilty of one they had to find for the other as well because they were the same offence, as per the original charge. He also apparently pleaded guilty, which suggests he knew exactly what he was doing and that it was not legal to do it. Hopefully he will now make sure he doesn't tackle like that again.
