To be honest, its easy to achieve, with stonewall silence from the club about all aspects of recruitment, retentions and Noble, people are by nature going to get more and more nervous about the situation and then cling to any hope of some kind of news.

The longer the uncertainty over Noble goes on and the lack of news over players, its going to become more common place.

True, but thankfully people being fooled on internet forums is not going to be of such concern to Wigan RL that they'll be rushed into making decisions that could have far-reaching consequences for the club.

I disagree here on this one.

I realise as fans we can’t expect to be a involved in all the clubs intimate details and we get fed info but the complete stone wall of nothing coming from the club is not only worrying imo but it’s dam frustrating.

We’ve been told to wait and wait for 2010 as we are gonna be expecting some big things and as of yet nothing has come of it and fans are rightfully getting frustrated.

I don’t need to know who it is we are signing but I would like to be told if there is anything potentially in the pipeline or to be put out of my misery if there isn’t anything coming. Like I said either way tell us to sit tight as we are working on things or tell us the truth and I’ll be happy just don’t say anything!!!

In regards to Noble it really is time a press statement is made to end all the crap that has gone on. A major decision like this should not have been left till this long.

I'll tell you why there is suddently silence about the holy grail that was 2010 - nothing is happening and the owner is hoping that the expectation towards 2010 recruitment will go away.

Totally agree with that, and to be honest it seems to be panning out that way as well, I won't forget and I'm certain most others won't.

Some of the links people have posted saying noble had re-signed nearly had me going though....the relief when they loaded and I saw it was an article from last year!!

To be honest if Lenegan came out with his hands up saying ok, ok...theres going to be no major signings next season we will bring in one or two decent players on small wages and look at bringing 3 or 4 more kids through I will be happy with that....it shows continuinity and that we are working to the future,

Anyone who believes that 2 or 3 big names are going to change us into title contenders for next season are seriously deluded.

The only way we are going to get any success within 5 years is to work with the kids bring them through to work with the current crop of established young, youngish players in the team and then add one or two big players later on.

Look at he league position we are in. We are poor yet are 5th and 6 points off 3rd place occupied by that scintillating side, Huddersfield. We are also in a cup semi final.

So IMO it's people who [idon't [/ithink 2 or 3 big names won't turn us into title contenders next season are the deluded ones. The standard of competition isn't that good.

What we can be sure of is if we don't make moves to improve the side in certain key positions we definitely won't be contenders yet again.



We are already at that stage now. Most of the young players people talk about are either already 20 or soon will be. We need IL to deliver the signings promised for 2010 and then some more depending on how things go with the younger players in 2011.

Oh what joy to support a club with no ambition, and happy to accept mediocrity.

Dead right Dave. A couple of signings in the right areas of the right quality (namely a top draw prop and top draw halfback) would see us right in the mix.

Without those signings, I dont see how we can be expected to kick on to a point were we are right up there.

In regards a coach, I also dont see the point in replacing Noble if we are going to run with the same team, to me it seems like it would be a pointless switch, the less signings seem possible the more I think Noble will be asked to stay on next year.

IL does seem to be drfiting that way and that will have more of an effect on season tickets sales etc than any coach or player.

Look at stains top easily this year with what is an increasingly weakening squad...next uear they'll be even weaker....no Gilmour no long, KFC retired or fatter and slower and more injury prone which could be worse, and then youve got an ageing wellens who wasnt any good in the first place!....if we cant match them next season with a couple of star signings then we never will.

The Inland Revenue loophole is meaning that even teams like leeds and stains now cant circumvent the cap any more which means that we'll all be playing at the same pi55 poor diluted level next year. Id go as far to say a new coach with new ideas and even one star player would be enough to win us the league next season!
