One thing that Pryce illustartes is the difference between being a star at reserve team level and making an impact at Super League level. Pryce is platung stand-off for your "all conquering reserves" and scoring for fun yet looking a mile off the required standard for Super League.

Why his contract was recently extended is a complete and utter mystery.

I think Wigan made the right choice in giving him another year.

Gives him a full off season to get fit, and with a new coach in charge from next year, everybody deserves a fresh start in my opinion.

But the point I'm making is that the other chap - it wasn't necessarily PY, though I think it was - was professing some inner knowledge regarding Pryce's injury and/or his deal with Wigan, and claiming that it was a complete non-starter. There also an implication that all us Wigan idiots were being dim denying it and would soon learn the truth.

A few weeks later, Pryce made his first appearance against Leigh, and has appeared on and off ever since.

When he has played in the centre he has shown signs of life and ability. He has also looked very unfit. We will need a replacement for Carmont in 2011, retaining Pryce ensures we are in a position to promote from within if he proves himslef.

A 1 year deal makes sense for me, if he does not step up he has to go at the end of his new deal.

Or maybe some people haven't got a clue on what happens inside the club, we are just fans and have no input whatsoever on what happens, never have and never will. Players see things differently as they are there all the time, we aren't. I for one am glad we have extended K Pryce's contract if true, he hasn't had a full pre season training with us since we signed him because of the injury and that should get him back to fitness.

There's a reason why fans are fans and why everybody in the club has a position in the club from the players, coahing staff etc... It really makes me laugh when I see threads such as players that should be here next year and who shouldn't, with most peoples teams we would have been left with half a squad!! For once we have some real stability and only need a couple of key positions changing IMO for us to be challenging the top 2.

I have heard from several sources that this is not the case and Noble has been making it known to at least 1 club he is available should the position become vacant there.

I think that could impact massively on season ticket sales. There are a lot of people, not just on here, who would like a fresh approach to next season.

With the way we've played under Nobby and the comments he's stated about trophies not being won in March, I think I'll just get a season ticket for the second half of the year and I'll watch Wakey for the first half

If this is true and no new signings as it would seem, I await to see how the IL spin machine works on this one!!
