I think it's pretty obvious what happened there. He started by giving the sidies a trim, but then he checked the mirror and the left one was a bit longer, so he took a bit more off. But what do you know? Now the right one's a bit shorter, so he took a bit off that..... you see how this ends up.
Either that or Mr Burns was coaching the team that week. |

I wouldn't go so far as to buy a print, as it was a bit heart-breaking as a nipper to see it at the time, but I do look back on that as having been present for one of the great Wembley moments. I watched it again on the Challenge Cup archive on BBC this morning. It's still probably the best try I've ever seen. Even Offiah couldn't quite believe what he'd just done.

In my book, doing it in broken field isn't the same as doing it when the line is set. I'm not ruling out the possibility of long-range tries (God knows you have the players to do it), just that I haven't seen many like that one and I don't expect to see any like it on Saturday. You have a player in your side now who is capable of it, but even those sort of players can't do it that often.
