BTW next week's Reserve Curtain Raiser at Cas next Sunday will now kick off at 4pm.

It was due to be a 12:40 start but with the first team kick off being delayed the reserve kick off has followed suit.

Reserves played really well today. I've seen them play better, but Wire were really poor. Farrell was having a stormer before he went off. The line he ran for his try was nothing short of superb. Pure class. Also served up some big hits in defence, like the one shortly before he was taken off on the oppositon SH. Immense talent he is. Special mentions for Walker, Marsh, Gee, Mellor & Vievers. Its nice to know with Vievers being able to kick so well we have someone lined up if Pat were to be out for an outstanding period of time.

The Warrington defeat means Wakefield's academy will finish top of the table after we beat Widnes today.

The score was 36-16.

The Reserves big win made it a mathmatical struggle anyway but Saints Reserves heavy defeat at Hull KR seals top spot in the table at that level. In the Academy despite the win we dropped down to 5th after Bradford hammered Huddersfield to haul above us on points difference. The game in hand v Saints could take us 2nd though given us a home play off depending on Warringtons results.

Oh good. Saints likely missing out on Under 18s play offs then.

BTW since being told it's a top 6 play off system at this level it'll be a Reserve Grand Final Qualifier v St Helens at Orrell which I think will be on the weekend of 12/13 September so they get 3 weeks off.
