Agree 100%. Smith and Pongia were awesome they brought out the best in each other and put the fear of God into the opposition. |

Nah you could throw a blanket over some of these.
Just goes to show though how even a position like prop can have many different playing styles.
Very hard to seperate some of them, but if I was pushed I would say Smith as the all round "best".
Platt was a converted SR and sometimes that was apparent. A very good prop though and a really nice bloke off the field.
Skerrett was sometimes great but sometimes off the boil, again a very good prop.
Cowie was underrated imo. Very direct and solid.
Ian Lucas was unlucky to get injured before we had the chance to see the best of him. |

kelvin was superb for us wish we had him now, but platty was even better imo, great tackler and had more going forward loads of speed from playing in the 2nd row originally.

fantasy front row time from the last 20 years - faz, cowie, terry.
NC was very underrated. Once he learned to stop fighting, he improved 100%. I know Faz was only a prop in desperate times, but OMG he would have been a legend if hed played there for GB !
Would you pick a fight with them 3 ??? All 3 fit enough to play a full 80 as well !
