They put it on themselves by continually passing out wide chasing a try that wasn't needed instead of just driving at the posts and kicking a drop goal. I won't repeat my response when Sam Tomkins knocked on, on the right. It was a bad pass in fairness but it was good drop goal territory!

To be honest we weren't half as bad as some people are making out, and neither were Cas. To anybody who hasn't watched it again, i'd highly recommend doing it - both teams put in some excellent defensive efforts.

Cas played some really good rugby around the play the ball and made good fast metres, but our scrambling defence was excellent. There were a fair share of flukey handling errors, but also a fair share of forced errors brought about due to both sides defenses playing well.

Was it a vintage performance from either team? of course not, far from it. It wasn't a bad game though, certainly exciting (maybe not for all the right reasons), and far better than some of the other matches this weekend.

16 handling errors was bad, but no one played well this weekend in my view. Not even Leeds (the final score flattered them). The play off intensity of games we've seen in the past wasn't seen anywhere.

Utter rubbish!!! We tackled excllently. Nobody would have got a cricket score against us last night. The players put their bodies on the line time and again and if we improve with the ball we will beat Hull KR

True, but its easy to forget that all other teams for the majority of their games were very poor.

I think we held out 18 consecutive tackles on our own try line which is pretty impressive and encouraging, we just need to cut out silly mistakes and look sharper in attack and we will give Hull KR a real challenge.

It's nice that somebody can see some sort of positives, it's really hard to motivate a group of people (i.e. the players) by only pointing out the negatives.

tell you what was more unbelievable having to watch your game with the sound off due to constant bloody booing. First time in my life i have watched a game of rugby with music on instead of the commentry.

Yeah Richard Owen. He's only 19 aswell but has been in and around their first team for a couple of years.

We were linked with him earlier on this season i remember as he's out of contract in 12months time.

He's a player i'd certainly be keeping an eye on if i were Wigan.

Phelps looks like an overseas player that could play for years and years over here imo. He never got a fair crack of the whip in Australia and looks very settled here. I can see him being our Mick Withers.

As for Owen he'd be a player i'd keep an eye on because he can play in a couple of positions and theres always the possibility that Phelps will be moved to centre when Carmont hangs up the boots.

Alot will depend on when guys like Carmont and Roberts move on.

Did anyone notice going into the first ad break after the half time hooter, it showed the players coming out of the tunnel at kick off and Sam Tomkins reaches up and touches the 'THIS IS WIGAN' sign?

Obviously it's a similar thing to touching the 'THIS IS ANFIELD' sign ( [url=http://planetsmilies.net[/url ) but I like Sam T even more now for doing it.
