| Providing Crosby and Flower are both fit I'd go:
Sarginson
Tierney
Bateman
Gildart
Charnley
Gregson
Smith
Clubb
Powell
Mossop
Tomkins
Isa
Sutton
Tautai
Crosby
Flower
Burke
I don't think Gregson in at 6 is perfect but there are very few other options in that squad. Unless it's worth giving him a shot at hooker and moving Powell to 6? Higginson needs pulling out of the firing line IMO.

I would like Powell at 6, and Gregson can do a job at 9.

| So Ben Flower who only last week had dropped half a stone through illness is now fit and well?
I'll have a shot of whatever they've been giving them

| I will believe nothing till i see who runs out to start the game at 8pm. Even the squad that runs out at 7:30 tells you nothing these days . All smoke and mirrors with Wigan RLFC these days i am afraid .

| Cas have an 8 point start on th coupon like Wakey did last week and Wire had 4 points the week before. The bookies must be looking at the squad lists or paying any attention to the noise coming out of the club.
We'll have to take it on the chin again I reckon with Cas gaining a reasonably comfortable victory.

Don't forget that our injury list stands at 10, of which 8 would be first 17 if fit, with no guarantees yet as to whether we will have anybody back. All we keep getting is 'maybe back next week or week after' and they never are. Could be an interesting one I think. See you Friday!

I noticed Millington and Holmes were back in the squad and I rate both highly. One thing that you've got over us is a proper halfback! Luke Gale must look at his and Smiths stats over the past two seasons and wonder how the hell he didn't get a game for England last year.
It should be closer then 62-0 but I think you'll have a bit more in the rank and Gale will take you to a win.

They are back in the squad, but our last injury update from the coach didn't sound like they were guaranteed fit, probably both due late fitness tests. It would be a massive boost for us if fit, they are both held in high regard by us fans. Millington is our best forward in my opinion and Oli is a workhorse that never stops or gives in. Gale is performing well, and young Tom Holmes in the halves with him is doing a good job in Roberts absence. It is a little baffling how Luke got over looked for Smith, but thats in the past now and being in that set up certainly has helped him even though he didn't play. I'm hoping that he just keeps working on improving his kicking game and he should be in with a shout at international level. I don't think its going to be anywhere near the freak scoreline from last week, and I would take a 1 point win. I'm looking forward to this one and think it's going to be a close call.

I think he needs to lose a lot of weight to become a top prop here. Scott Taylor was unplayable when we first signed him, then he got lazy, fat and slow and was a shadow of his former self. Sutton needs to do the reverse although he isn't lazy i will give him that.

| I'm looking forward to tonight to be honest. There's something of a 'backs to the wall' feeling about this game and in general at the club at the moment which would make a win taste very sweet indeed. I'm expecting a very hard night and won't be surprised if Cas get the win but I can't see anything like last weeks margin. A close game packed with effort and no new injuries is all we can hope for and a win will be a bonus!

| It's strange isn't it? I think our position in the league is more of a reflection on the rest of SL than us. Our failing are clear but yet we're still up there. I said this on another discussion and was accused of being arrogant and told I should give credit to Catalans, Widnes and Hull etc. I then asked if that person thought any of those teams would have beaten Brisbane, Roosters or Rabbitohs but they didn't come back to me!
Our league is poor and we are one of the better clubs in that league.

I would have thought that's mostly water loss that could be regained just as quickly.

Why compare SL the the NRL ? Two different animals altogether. NRL will always be far far superior to SL for obvious reasons. Maybe when SL becomes bigger than football in this country we can start the comparison.

Agreed. No new injuries first, a scrappy win will do nice. Not confident though, Cas are difficult at the best of times.

I wasn't comparing competitions in that way at all. I said the standard of rugby league in SL is poor and was accused of being arrogant because I should give more credit to teams like Hull and Widnes. Whilst they have improved the standard RL of the competition is not great and was using the WCC to illustrate the standard of our league.
We all know we'll never compete with the NRL but that doesn't mean the rugby over here is good enough!

I agree, looks a decent prospect but nothing screams out to me he's destined for the top.Barry and Terry seem to love him on sky.Im also shocked how much weight he's carrying for a young lad.
