It's what happens when you're the most successful club in your sport - people get jealous.

Haha. I'm not jealous of anything Wigan have done. I see you as the most successful club when things were uneven and unfair. Since that has been sorted, you're the 4th most successful club in our sport.

And to prove the point.

Quite the opposite actually. If Saints had won more trophies than anyone else in an era when the sport was part-time, I wouldn't go on about it. I'd focus on what the club has achieved since the sport went professional, seeing as that's what counts the most.

Wigan have struggled to come to terms with not being top dog since everyone joined them as a professional club. You may catch the likes of Saints and Leeds up in the future, who knows. Until you do, we have nothing to be jealous of.

No problems from me about how Wigan put together their great teams in the 1980s and 1990s, there was nothing stopping other teams from going full time and showing some ambition and as for nearly bankrupting themselves, Wigan are hardly unique amongst rugby league clubs for that...

I'm sure if Warrington win the Grand Final there won't be any Wigan fans on here saying things like "how do Warrington get all of their signings under the salary cap, its not fair". We've never heard that line from Wiganers.

Similarly I'm sure you all support the ambition of Marvan Koukash to come in to revitalise Salford like Uncle Maurice did to Wigan in the 1980s and if Salford start winning on the back of Koukash's money you will respect their success too and be happy for them.

It would be great for the game if Salford did come good with Koukash's money, the more big clubs the btter imo and Rugby League needs all the money it can get.

So when did things become even?

Possibly the finest point of the homecoming this afternoon was when 'Simply the Best' was played over the PA system and the thousands of loyal supporters all sang as one to a tune so synonymous with unparalleled success.

I was outside the Raven when it was being played and two ladies were giving it rock, singing their heads off.

All I care about is that I have been blessed in seeing my club lift the cup 12 times. Which is as many as any other club has won in their entire history.

Why should Rugby League be Even and Fair? no other sport is! Football isnt even, Rugby U isnt, Athletics isnt even, F1 racing isnt run where all the teams are even, SO why should Rugby League be run differently??
Why should Wigan be brought down to the same level of low ambition, achievement/performance as St Helens or Wakefield for eg.? why should the other teams in the game not show some ambition and try to achieve some success for a change?
