5 or 6 matches for that would just be ridiculous! One match for most players, two matches for Hock because of his past record. It was hardly worth a lengthy ban.

Tuson has a reasonably good disciplinary record. He copped a cheap shot and retaliated. I remember something similar happening to Joel Tomkins against Hull where Yeaman started hitting him so Joel retaliated with several punches. Tomkins escaped a ban for that so Tuson should escape a ban this time. Possibly one match but anything more is ridiculous.

Has Mossop ever been banned for anything? If not then a ban would be harsh for what was a first offence in the heat of the moment. He should be knighted if anything for laying out Magennis.

If there was actually some consistency in the way the RFL Disciplinary procedure worked then we would easily be able to guess who would get banned for how many. I literally dont have the foggiest idea what is going to happen

If Hock gets banned then the RFL seriously need shooting. He did nothing at all that doesnt happen every week in a Rugby League game. The most that players get is 10 mins in the sin bin for stuff like that.

How does the early guilty plea work again? Sure it was Tuson that got pinged for a grapple or something considered dangerous against Saints at Widnes last year. Does that mean he's no grounds for an early plea?

Hock will doubtless have the book thrown at him based on his past record, though any more than two games, given that he was sent off as well, would seem harsh. It wasn't THAT bad... was it?

We're playing Leeds next week, right? We should probably plan to play that game without a whole host of players based on Red Hall's previous record.

Rangi Chase got 3 matches for breaking a players jaw in a vicious attack that was all over YouTube. If he only gets 3 for that then the most anyone can get from that skirmish is 1 match??!!!!!

That Chase hit makes me cringe.

The worst part is he looks over at the ref immediately after he does it to see if he's been caught. Predetermined all the way and 3 games isn't enough. If anything a portion of his salary should be docked and given to the lad he injured until he's able to play again (as his work VISA doesn't allow him to be employed any other way and as a semi-pro if he's not playing he's not getting paid!).

nope cos he won't be selected if already banned. ie, he won't make the 18 on the day squad.

Tuson will not get banned. The report fro the touch judge that looks like Barry Chuckle said Tuson and Magginis(sp) were throwing punches. Obviosly he didn't see what sparked it. IF he does get banned then the RFL needs to have long look at itself.

Hock I'm unsure of. Did any of punches connect? Again I can't see him getting a ban as this thing happens all the time. But there again it is Hock so I wouldn't be surprised if he copped a big ban.

Why are MM and Mossop up before the beak? I wouldn't be surprised to see SOL up there as well as he looked like his brother in law from the 2004 Good Friday figh...I meant match. I think the person who will cop the most is Magginis but I'll talk about the bag on the other thread.

In the real world, this would be the acid test - given the precedent set by the Chase punishment, no-one should now get 3 games or more unless they commit an equally serious offence, but the RFL Disciplinary seem impervious to embarrassment when it comes to this kind of thing. I expect Hock to get at least 3.

It was more or less handbags, Ben Thaler went overboard on confused info from the linesmen on an incident that ruined the game as an event, and put a damper on the whole weekend tournament, (the only other blot was the Warrington, Widnes debackle.) I don't think the touchies expected Thaler to throw a wobbler and see red, what a joke, yellows at worst, it seemed that what was the start of the piece was just a rubbing of nuts with Hock and Louie Mc, which seemed to move into some kind of yed-to-yed dance, not much more than that. The Magennis v Tuson match-up was a bit more of a seeing-to, but it was a hot day, a bad game for the Saints, and no doubt a bit of gob from both sides. THE REAL FOOL WAS THALER. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YELLOW!! IF ANYTHING?.

As a neutral, i think they should all get SOS. A regular weekly round and not the RFL's showcase event and i think we could have been looking at 3 yellows rather than reds.

As it is and trying to somehow guess what the RFL will do:
Hock - 2 games
Tusson - 1 game
M'ginnis - 1 game - May go to 2 as he was just been a dick
Mossop - 1 game - For throwing one (a good one at that!) and backing up as quickly as poss

Having said that, based on the Chase decision, they could all be knighted for services to RL!

Hock and LMS was a bit of handbags, nothing to serious IMO.

Mossop/Tuson could get 1/2 each.
Magennis should get 4/5.
