| Do we ever get any 50/50 decisions in our favour ? Especially ones that count ?
Wire got a penalty for us not being square, kickable position with seconds to go before half time, yet they werent square in similar positions and were not penalised.
OK, we werent square then, but where is the consistency ?
Briers, well he was clearly offside for his interception try, they dont go to the screen.
Wigan score, and its screen time. How can we prevent this Wigan try say the officals.
Frustrated and annoyed but content in the knowledge that Wire beat us home and away last season, finished top and under the current system won nothing of value.
It aint over til its over.

| this is nearly as bad as the statement from after the widnes game (if it was on tv you would of won) the ref was a disgrace , how the hell a player can be put on report twice is beyond me , you should count your selves lucky you was not reduced to 12 men

Are you for real?
For two of our tries he went to the screen - he only went to the screen for one of yours! I don't think you can complain about the Silverwood not giving you anything - your 2nd and 3rd tries should never have been allowed (voluntary tackle for the 2nd and obstruction in the build up for the 3rd).
Blame Charnley and Lauaki for the defeat not Silverwood. Silverwood was awful last night for both teams - I think the biggest decisions (i.e. the two tries) went in your favour.

| The spear tackle was 50:50 - Blythe should have been penalised for performing synchronised swimming moves on a dry night
Equally the defender who tackle the Wigan players elbow as he drove the ball in was a fault for having a head on his shoulders
Silverwood is poor, agreed

| I just think Silverwood had a bad game in general. I don't think he show's any conssitency in his decision making. Missed lot's of lying on for both sides.

| I think were all agreed that mr silverwood is poor
Saying that i thought we were poor with our execution, we went to the left far to much. i just think were not mixing up enough , credit to Warrington , games like that you've got to hang in and they did.

OK, I am going to say this only once, for the hard of hearing Wire fans who clearly have not watched the same game as the rest of us.
For Wigans second try ( Mickey Mac ), Farrell makes the break and is hauled down by Myler and Briers from behind. As he is getting up to play the ball, he is jumped on by Myler who tackles him to the ground.
Mickey scoops the ball up and scores.
Whats the problem ?
Try checking your recording.

| Silverwood had a very poor performance, but I don't think it favoured either team massively, I'll agree there was a massive lack of consistency, But regardless of how many times they "got away" with things we can only concentrate on our own game, If we had been standing square then Silverwood wouldn't have given that penalty, regardless of however many times the same thing got missed the other way around.
Lack of composure, bad decision making and giving away ridiculous penalty's cost us that game more than any ref. Warrington we're poor, in particular in the first 20 minute's, we dominated possession failed to score a try and when given a chance to apply the pressure even more we chose to kick for 2.. They then scored from the result of a Wigan error which gifted them field position, A theme which went on through out the match. At ht I though the scoreline flattered Warrington a great deal and I think even the most avid Wigan hating wire fans will admit they won the game tonight without necessarily having been the better team.
God help us when they actually start playing to their potential because they will be unstoppable, I hate to say it but its the sign of a great team when you can play so poorly compared to your usual standards and still come away with the points week in week out.
They where there for the taking last night, but hopefully we can learn a few lessons from tonight.

Tackle was never complete. No Warrington player is tackling him when the ball carrying arm hits the ground. Simple really.

Silverwood even put the whistle to his mouth to blow for the penalty, but instead decided to check for advantage, hence why he allowed the try. Doesn't take a genius!

A fair summary of the game. Refs make mistakes in every match and, in the end, Luaki's two offences cost you the points. From the Wire point of view we just hope it won't be too long before we do start 'playing to our potential'.

But that isn't the rule. The players have to be behind the referee. Just imagine if he only took them back 8 yards then according to your way of thinking they would all be offside.
And what about the last penalty kicked by Hodgson. Have a look at where the offence occurred and then have a look at where the ball was actually kicked from.
Wigan should have won that game but were beaten by their own poor indiscipline. And can't blame Wire for cashing in.

So if the referee takes the players back 8 yards are they all offside?
=#FF0000Indicating ten metres The Referee should usually position himself ten metres behind and to one side of the point at which the ball is played as a guide to the team not in possession. If tackling is excessively keen or play is unnecessarily rough, the referee may forsake the ten metres position in order to be nearer the players involved in the tackle.

I have no idea what you're babbling on about. The referee indicates the 10m to the players, but he is under no obligation to be standing back the 10m himself. He judges who is on and offside.
Some refs go back 10m exactly, others stand slightly behind for a clearer view.
This is fairly basic stuff, I'm guessing you're not new to RL?
Just while I'm here, what did Bridge do that merited a sending off in the Hudds-Wire game a few weeks back? I'm not sure you ever cleared that up for us.

You're really struggling with this one aren't you? It's a good sign that you've looked up the rules but a pity you've missed the key word, 'should'. The ref has discretion and indicates the 10m in whichever way he likes, his standing position doesn't do it. Karl Kirkpatrick used to stand 3m behind the defensive line, it doesn't mean he didn't indicate the 10 though.
The referee is the arbiter, not Eddie Hemmings, as much as you'd love it to be so. Briers was onside.

So why was Briers the ONLY Wire player (apart from the markers) in front of the referee if he had given them the 10 metre mark a metre (or two) further forward?
