Quote WIGAN rugby league player Sam Tomkins has been fined for jumping a red light.
The Warriors player admitted to failing to comply with a traffic signal when he appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.
Tomkins, 22, of Thornhill Gardens, Standish, was driving along Chapel Lane, Wigan, on July 27 last year when he failed to stop at a red light. He was given three penalty points and ordered to pay a £45 fine, as well as £15 victim surcharge and £35 court costs.'"
Since when did you need to go to court to plead guilty to a minor traffic offence? |

If you got taken to court and fined for littering in the street, you'd have to pay a victim surcharge. It's basically just a hidden tax, but it goes to a decent place. |
