To Central Park

Come on Rogues. You can't tease us with a snippet of info. Give us the full facts.

I've just driven past and the signage is being changed to Central Park. IL has mentioned in the past that things will be happening there that will benefit Wigan RL, so I would expect announcements soon.

I think the new name is a good start.

Wigan Warriors education academy owns half of it.

It's a vocational college / academy for 14 to 19 year olds.

It's where our new 22000 seater/terracing stadium is being built!

PEMBEC is what was Pemberton High School on Montrose Avenue.

And before that, Pemberton Middle School.

Looks like the 'Sellafield' effect.

And before that Pem Senior

I hope it generates as much revenue.

thats not in wigan....its in bolton..the posh part

It was a school thats closed. Wigan have bought half and use it to run courses in sports performance and sports science. Some of the lads that have just signed on at 16 go there.

Is it frig the posh part! I work around the corner and literally 500 yards away from the school (Gilnow Road Area) is as rough as you can get.
The kids may be posh being driven in by their parents in the Chelsea tractors (and Grayway coaches) but the area certainly isn't.

The fact Bolton (and many other Northern towns) have prestigious private schools has blown your theory that only posh southern toffs in Eton have them!
