Was just a matter of time before it was announced. I'm glad its all out in the open now and not left to drag on. Now maybe the team can settle down and get back to some decent form.

Actually not too fussed. I'm confident he's passed on enough to Wane and the lads, there's no reason we can't build on what he's started.

I thought you had the makings of a dynasty under Maguire. I don't know enough about Wanes credentials to make a fair decision but I think you may drop off a little.

Glad its out in the open. If Wane is to be given the job, perhaps MM should be released early. As the season wears on surely his mind will be on other things. If we have a drop in form it will be levelled at him that his mind is not on the job.

Hope Wane gets given the job.

Im quite shocked he'd want to leave a side he has built half way through, very disapointing, could have been a legend, rather than a one season wonder.

I worry it's too soon for Wane. Very disappointed but not surprised at the decision. Glad its out and hope the squad react positively, would be unusual though.

My uncle lives in oz and is mad storm fan. He said soon as he signed for Wigan that it would only be 12 month deal.

Thats exactly what we all thought at first and after we saw him play we were certain. He is too good to stay in super league but i have enjoyed watching him play and will continue to do so for the rest of the season.

It's bad, but isn't the end of the world. I'm sure whoever takes the reins will do a belting job.

Now that it has been confirmed i just hope that IL makes an announcment sooner rather than later on who MM;s replacement is, be it Wane or another head coach.

Players and coaches come and go. You correct it's not the end of the world.

Why? Potter told Stains early last season he was off, they stuck with him and he took them to OT.

Good luck to him...let's hope we send him out on a high after another successful season. Let's leave it to IL and the rest of the board now to find the best man for the job next year, be that Wane or anybody else. Madge is one of the hottest prospects in RL coaching and this was always somewhat inevitable, it would have been nice for him to see out 3 years but as soon as the chance to coach players like Inglis and Burgess in a quality Rabbitohs side, not to mention Russell Crowe's bank balance, he was always going to go.

I agree, Hoffman is pure class. I've been very impressed with him.

That's pretty much what was expected. I think it was just one year deal with the option of a second year only in the unlikely event that Storm couldn't afford to bring him back or didn't want him or if he didn't want to go to another NRL club.
I think he's only really needed here for 1 year anyway to add a bit of size to the pack and allow Farrell and Tuson to play their second seasons without any pressure before they look to become established players (although Faz just goes from strength to strength). Hock may be seen as a prop by Maguire but if Wane takes over next year he may move him back to the left side second row where he was so good before his ban.

I'd sooner he takes his time and ensures the next person in the hotseat is the right man for the job.

Let's not make any hasty decisions, it's vital we get this right to continue our progress.
