really... considering you paid 100,000 and a player for someone who has left your team with issues, I'd say we got the best out of Bloody 'ell Mathers.

I think both teams came out well to be honest.

Mathers was superb in the CC Final against Leeds, scoring early on and saving two certain tries. This went a long way to winning the cup.

Gleeson was an integral part of our championship winning season, topped it off scoring two superb tries in the Grand Final against our arch-rivals (and with it will be remembered by Stains fans as a former player who came back to haunt them big style), that's worth the transfer money alone.

Also mathers didn't score against leeds, that was chalked off wrongly for obstruction. He scored in the first win against huddersfield, and then saved the tries against leeds.

But you are right we both came off well, but the fact you paid us 100,000 to take on a player that has no shafted your club with his poor discipline, and gave us a player who helped us win Back to back CC's does put us slightly ahead.
