The three players join for the 2011 season onwards; Second Row Forward Ryan Hoffman has signed a one-year contract (2011) with a second year option, Half-Back Brett Finch has agreed a two-year deal (2011 and 2012) whilst Prop Forward Jeff Lima joins for three years (2011, 2012 and 2013).

The fact that they know each other well, due to playing in the same team, should also help them to settle quicker. Having worked under MM is also a massive bonus.

But what about the cap does it not apply to wigan !!!, and typical of wigan buying a short term fix instead of promoting youth .etc

The Hoffman one year with a one year option is interesting in that it will let us have a look at how Gareth Hock is performing before making decisions on either player.

Excellent news, other teams will be getting worried already as we are strengthening in areas that we need to. Particularly the forwards.

It also shouldn't put the likes of Farrell and Tuson's noses out of joint and will give them another 12 months to develop.

I just hope that isnt our signings completed as we will need more than the 3 we have signed with the rumored players departing.

Saints fans view on these are they are three very good signings.

Lima is better than Feka, Finch is better than your other scrum halves and Hoffman will give the youngsters Tuson and Farrell a year to mature.

You lose Feka, Bailey and Deacon as straight swaps really, good bit of business I think.

We were also after Brett Finch and possibly Lima, but it seems you guys have beaten us to it ,well done.
It looks like you are going to have a very good side next season on paper at least, meanwhile its back to the drawing board for us although i'm sure Justing Morgan willl have one or two other irons in the fire

I would imagine that it will be it for new signings for 2011. Lenegan has already stated that we won't be getting a new hooker, and I think the FB position will be covered, either by Richards/Roberts (if he stays)/Sam or maybe Phelps.

Didn't Lenegan state at a Fans Forum that the plan was for no more than 3 new signings per season?

I think we lose Feca for Lima, Bailey for Hoffman and Riddell for Finch.

We then lose Phelps and Deacon for Hock.

Overall i think we will have a stronger squad.

There may be then room for contract upgrades for the young lads by signing fielden on a reduced wage.

Great news for the club, just hope fielden signs too,

Let's hope some of our younger guys like Charnley or Davies go on SL loan to Hull KR next season.

I really like Hull KR and I wouldn't wanna see any of our young players go to anyother club. Morgan will give them confidence and you know they are well looked after with Galea, Clinton & Vela playing there as they are top players.
