| Time for our pack to stand up and be counted as a collective unit.
They have been very impressive in the 2 games this season but this is our first big test.
there have been good individual performances over the last couple of years, but IMO very rarely as a unit.
IMO if Fielden and Coley can match Morley and Carvell in the opening exchanges then I think we will have enough to win the game
I think that our bench will be slightly stronger and have a bigger impact (feka, prescot, mossop and deacon)
Cant wait for the game

| What you seriously think your forwards can match;
Morley
Carvell
Harrison
L Anderson
Westwood
Wood
and possibly Solomona.
Even with your cherry and white tinted specs on you can surely see that your forwards are far inferior. Your pack is going to have to play out of its skin just to even match the warrington pack.

I agree, we have no chance of doing the same amount of high or dangerous tackles, using the face as a rest to stand up on or general dirty play that your pack will achieve.

| This is why I think we'll lose. Our second rowers are about even with theirs but our props are way outclassed. Having said that we're less likely to play up the middle like we did with Noble. If we can shift it wide we'll cause them some problems, especially if we can get Mossop and Joel Tomkins trampling over Briers and Myler.

| yes I think they can more than match them and I think we will have the greater impact off the bench
The whole idea of my post was to say that it is time for the pack as a collective to stand up and be counted. which means getting the better of Morley and Carvell in the front row.
Our back row is more than a match and IMO is far better than yours (tinted glasses or not)
looking forward to what is hopefully going to be a fantastic game between the 2 sides (hope its not one of those games that gets hyped up to fall flat on it )

On paper your pack wins hands down.
Shame it's played on grass.

I see only two forwards in that line-up who I feel are superior to their opposite numbers at Wigan. The rest are so-so.
But we at Wigan have now learned that talk is cheap. It's what you do on the field that counts. So let's wait and see.

| Wires front row is better
Our backrow is better
Our bench is better
I'd say because of that Wire front row it's pretty even between the 2 packs though. The game is won and lost in that front row and our 4 will have to work hard as a unit to match theres.

| Fielden has to step up in this game and not be dominated by Morley.
If he can set the platform in the forwards, we have a chance.

| Warringtons starting front row in Morley and Carvell is miles better than ours but our backrow is one of the best in the league and has been on top form so far. We have far more power on the bench as well!
Warrington clearly have 2 secret weapons but our pack is more of a unit and has worked together really well.

You forgot Monaghan btw. And yes our pack can and will compete with yours. Just wait until 8pm on Saturday and you'll see just how well our forwards will have competed.

| If are pack can at least match the wire frontrow, it'll go along way to winning us the game. Are backrowers are at the moment far superior to those that wire have to offer, and should compensate for what were missing upfront.
With are much increased fitness levels, a good way of beating wire would be to simply play the game at a faster pace than they can, by constantly making Morley and Carvell work hard around the ruck and scrambling back, we may be able to take a little sting out of their tails.
I sure are messiah (McGuire) will have a plan on how to handle Morley and Carvell.

| If our pack plays as well it has done this season we've more than enough to beat the Wire pack. Wigan win by two scores.

They're only two men! They are good but they're not the greatest players ever to play. If we shut them down early with our IMMENSE tackling and superior ruck speed we will run their 30+ year old props ragged. Then when they go off for their spell having been throuroughly run off their feet for 15-20 mins, Feka comes on and punches holes in their defence like the wrecking ball he is.

When it comes down to it, there are 17v17. All across the field is very evenly matched. I reckon it will be won and lost on tactics. Tony Smith is a bit of a whizz. Even if we are being dominated across the field in the first half we tend to come out in the second half with a different game plan that saves the day. Mr Mcguire is a bit of an unknown entity for me. He's certainly created a well drilled, fit, confident side during the off season. The test is whether that is enough to see you through or whether he has the nouse to change things mid game and have his players stick to it. If he manages that you will win. Me personally, I have faith in Tony fix the issues if and when they arise.

Thanks for coming on and offering some decent insight into the match. The fact that since, well, Sunday both sets of fans have been sniping back and forth about each of their teams pros and cons just shows that Warrington & Wigan are on the up. We have shown over the first two games we are the two teams to beat. With Saints and Leeds losing to teams you wouldn't expect them to lose to early on, we are currently the benchmark of the league this year. The game should be a blackbuster and is genuinley too close to call. We both have decent forwards, a young superstar in the making HB & a genuine belief we can do it this year. He's to October 2nd, May it be a Wigan vs Wire final.

I think the kicking game will have more of a bearing than that. Ours has been superb since the addition of Deacon to tutor Sam - His kicking was awesome in the HKR game.

That will be a big part of the result but unless its unbelievably one sided, I can't see how the pen count will pick a winner.

We could give the credit to Briers if you prefer, he's our 'thinker' on the field. Just think what could have been on that tour if Briers had gone.
