We have none in our team, simple as! That McGoldrick(sp?) should have been levelled by someone tonight, he got away with absolute murder. Sam was getting dirty treatment for most of the game and all our players can do is wave their arms at the referee; it was clear the ref wasn't going to do anything so sometimes you have to take it into your own hands.

This isn't a thread promoting violence or ill-discipline but looking at our team,we must have the least intimidating pack in the league!

We've needed an agressive, nasty piece of work prop for a couple of years.

We haven't got one and i'd be suprsied if we have one for next year.

Can you imagine McGoldrick doing all that against a team with Morley or Peacock in it?

I agree with NickyKiss we need a tough prop similar to Morely or Peacock but if our lot had sorted McGoldrick out you can bet we would have someone sent off with that ref.

Hock acted the hardman but very rarely backed it up. He didn't command the respect that a Morley or Peacock does but would stick up for his team-mates at times.

I think we need somebody with an aura bout them. We thought we'd bought one in Stuart Fielden but it's long since gone.

Farrell would have had a 'quiet' word in McGoldricks ear tonight and we'd have soon seen him shuffle off.

There were plenty of high shots from both teams tonight if you want to blame anyone then blame Ian Smith for not taking positive action early on in the game as it began to creep in. By not doing so he gave the players carte blanche to go as high and as often as they liked.
Watch the game again, without the wigan specs on and you see that although McGoldrick and Higgins were pinged a few times (and yes shold have gone to the bin), there were players in cherry and white who were at it too, not including two blatant flops that should have resulted in 10 minute spells in the sidelines for Wigan players.
Smith made a rod for his own back, as so many Sl ref's seem to do now-a-days.

Our high shots were at below the waste level as Cas plyers were falling; thta's the difference. Your's were stone cold professional fouls, for the most part.

Tbh if you noticed mcgoldrick seemed reluctant to run at our line. He only started his dirty play when phelps was around. Another dirty thug only picking on the smaller players. I don't believe for a second he'd of tried the same throttling on Richards or our forwards coz let's face it he's a pussy that only goes for those which cannot give it back.
