They were there for the taking tonight. After going 22-0 up after 15 minutes it should've been a cricket score. Then it was same old Wigan.

We were murdered for penalties in the second half and hardly had the ball. We can't score if we don't get it.

It looked to me that we were arrogant enough to take our foot off the pedal and started to coast. Most other teams would never have done that and would surely have gone for the throat, which we should have done. As a result we handed the momentum to Salford and never got it back.

You knew we'd take our foot off the pedal after the first 2m minutes but then thats Wigan. It's something that needs looking at but it was nice to at least be in that situation for a change.

Overall i'm happy enough.

happy with the win but not happy with 65 mins of the 80 when a poor Salford side effectively outscored us 18-12. Some ppl get carried away with a win!

Shame the rest of the game couldn’t have lived up to the first 15 mins.

It really was imo the best spell of ruby I’ve seen us play in a long, long while.

We had moves that looked straight of the training paddock and with varied attacks in wrap arounds from Phelps, short balls, miss passes, neat little kicks and loads of individual skill on display. It’s almost like we decided to come out tonight and blow them away and we certainly did that.

First twenty minutes we had plenty ball and did well.

We got caned in the second half, well and truely. We looked dangerous when we got down their but Smith allowed Salford to niggle and hammered us.

Its disgusting that a man that so clearly hates Wigan is allowed to officiate. It was a clear try. The club MUST speak to the RFL, we get slaughtered each week and as for the touch judge - pathetic.

No - when Pat kept the ball in and knocked it back to Phelps, he gave "in touch".

Warren Turley has given loads of ridiculously bias decisions against Wigan as a touch judge.

He'll never become a referee as long as he has that petty hatred towards Wigan.

We fell for the three card trick second half.

Salford came out to niggle and spoil. Unfortunately the referee did nothing about it, and the game degenerated.

Fair play to Salford, they played the referee well, we (or certain players need to learn)

I don't think that is the case.

We didn't make any handling errors if my memory serves me correctly in the opening 15-20 minutes.

Following this period we made a couple of handling errors and missed a few tackles which led to Salford slowly gaining more possession, getting down field and scoring a try.

If we'd have kept hold of the ball on those sets we may have very well scored more points in the first half.

The first 15 mins were faultless. We did not drop 1 ball, give a single penalty away or make a knock on. Zero errors and all the possession resulted in 22 points and some very nice tries scored.

It all went a bit to pot after that. On their first attack they scored (How often does that happen to us? Team never in it then gets 1st sniff of the line they are in). The second half looked like two poor teams playing each other. Salford did change things about and caused us problems with a quick PTB but we lost our own way all by ourselves. It was very frustrating given that first 15 mins. If anyone thinks that is moaning I am just relating the facts as to what actually happened!

whocares about the performance, 2 points is the most vital thing at the endof the day.

We were hit by penalty's as soon as Fielden came on also Hock lost his head later in the game.

Oh and now when the hooter go's the Ref gets a call to tell him its gone.

Stuart Cummings was one of the WORST referees ever to take the field and look where he is now.

Turley has a big future in the game by that reckoning then!

Fielden, whats going on?? I never thought the day would come when I'd be happier with Prescot and Coley starting before him. Prescot was superb last night and the first 20 mins with the two of them on worked well. Hope Fielden starts from the bench next week too.
