i know sams gonna be 6 next year having IL saying there will be no new signings, but what would people think about smith cumng back if he had the chance

Smith is by far a better playmaker then Sam

But he cant tackle and has no pace. I have never seen a bigger turnstyle in defence, some of his efforts at tackling were shockingly bad.

Do you mean in same way that Liam Farrel is nothing special just average and Riddell should just go sort of way ?

And if he gad runners and options he'd be a sensation. Give me a great passer of the ball in a good team over a Burrows or Mcguire every time. People like Andy Greg would have looked poor in our team due to a lack of options, they'd easily be marked out of a game.

Funny how people here seem to overlook the underlying reasons to our poor attacking play, and seem to find it easier to blame it on one person.

exactly, smith is what we need, im sorry but to all these people who say he cant defend have a look at any good 6 or 7 thats ever played rugby league, there not good defenders, smith is the kind of player that gets to training and just want a ball in hs hand, not defend a tackle bag or players

If Smith was available for an absolute pittance as back up for the rest of the squad i'd still probably not bother!

He's a skillfull player with ball in hand but unfortunatly 50% of the time you don't have the ball and when it comes down to defending he's possibly the worst player i've seen in a Wigan kit.

I'd rather have Phelps, Lockers, Gleeson and Flanagan as back up for the halfbacks.
