| No Hardaker for Leigh on Friday, Asiata is doubtful,
Our team picks itself apart from the last bench spot, do we go for size in Hill or utility in Cust/Shorrocks in case of an injury?

I’m sure Asiata will play, there a chance they could slip and go 5th.
I can’t see us resting anyone. I see us starting with KPP at prop playing Nsemba in at second row and then bring Shorrocks in off the Bench

I thought that myself, Nsemba was good last week and played the full 80, maybe to prepare him for this week?

I thought that Junior was the best player on the field last week.

| Just that last bench spot to debate really. I think Peet needs to put himself in the mindset of being in the middle of a semi final/final again and ask himself if he would trust Harvie Hill enough to bring him on. He did not do that in the Cup Semi and if the answer is still no, he may as well put Shorrocks on the bench and then we can use KPP or Smithies at prop in spells.
I think I would go Shorroks as well tbh. Hill has done well so far when he's played but it's very early days and he is still getting used to the pace of the games. We know at worst, Shorrocks could play in an extremely intense/fast game and still be going as strong on 80 minutes, as he would be in the first minute.

I’d go Shorrocks too, feel safer with him if anyone gets injured too, and I don’t think Shorrocks did you bad last week, good play to put Mago through the gap for Powell’s try.

| Great points about Shorrocks. He proved earlier in the season that in attritional games, that his lungs and fitness were an asset. His performances v Wire and Saints on Good Friday are definitely worth considering at this time of year. KPP has gone very well at prop at times, so it's well worth a shout.

He has also cost us two games this season.
I would rather pick Hampshire.

The pen at Wakey was a joke to be fair to him and I’d rather look at the ridiculously dumb performance for the 79 minutes and 55 seconds before that. I’d also look at games like Wire away and Good Friday before looking at the two games you mention. He was absolutely immense defensively and you need that in play off rugby.

That game still hurts, not to mention the ridiculous knock on call in GP that pretty much decided the game.
On Shorrocks, think he’s been at the centre of a bit of unfair criticism, the harsh penalty at Wakefield, was unfairly sent off in the semi final, and just not found his way back in with the squad being settled and playing well together, I’ve heard he’s had meetings with Peet over his future though.

| He did pretty well off the bench on Friday, setting up that Mago/Powell try. I think he'd be the best bet for a bench spot too. I do wonder if he'll end up at Leigh.

That’s what the chat with Peet was about apparently, wants to play week in week out, can’t blame him, it’s a short career and was open about how much he enjoyed those couple of weeks at leigh.

Would be gutted to lose him. He’s a fantastic utility

I’d be worried if Shorrocks wasn’t talking to Peet about his future.
I think that it will be difficult to keep him.

Brilliant, card carrying Latics fan for our biggest game of the season. Some will still say the RFL don't have it in for us.

| I don’t believe the whole he’s a fan of x so he’s obviously going to be a biased against us. Ref make poor decision but I think they are let down by the technology they have at their disposal. I still don’t understand how when try’s go to video ref the video angles and quality are unreliable. Surely they have better cameras available

| Liam Moore is probably the best ref. I don’t buy all that “he’s a wiganer so hes trying not to be biased towards us” apart from the Shorrocks ref card in the cup semi, I don’t think he’s got much wrong in games he’s reffed this year for us. He knows how to let big games flow, he was very good in the Salford v Wire game the other week.

| Certainly don’t think he’s arrogant, in fact he seems to get on pretty well with the players and has a good manner, unlike guys like Kendall and previously Child. He’s a dreadful ref for us though and maybe that’s our style of play not marrying with his reffing style. We can’t seem to do much right when he’s in charge. Is that a ‘I’m not a bias Wiganer thing?’ Maybe, maybe not but it’s never easy for us with him in charge.

Not sure thats true anymore. I think he has now gone the other way. The recent Wigan games that I've watched where he has been the ref I think you've had more than your fair share of decisions.
