This is where collateral stats don't back up real life. Davies and Johnstone have scored a hat full of tries so you can assume most of his kicks have been on the touchline. He has looked very comfortable with the 2 he has had so far tonight, kicks that Smith would have probably fluffed given his recent attempts. It will be nice to watch Smith play without that added pressure on his game because he was outstanding last season.

And Marshy and Miski have scored all of their tries under the posts have they?

He’s a totally different style of centre to King ‘if’ that’s where he’s going to play. He looks to have plenty of class about him, good footwork, good passer etc and plays with his head up. It’s good to have options and you wouldn’t be surprised if he starts at centre or stand off. That will work itself out in our minds as we see who else comes in I guess.

If he is a replacement for King does he or has he played at right centre?

Seems to generally favour the left however with him being a utility being able to cover at halves and hooker I am sure he can play on the right too.
