Kevin is Sean’s brother, both sons of Keiron. Posted on here in case living in Wigan with an interest in RL. We have found over 100 players on social media and messageboards to date. Thanks.

Kevin O'Loughlin was one of the most loyal players ever to play for the club and has never got the recognition he deserved from the club and supporters.

In a career between from1963 and 1975, he made 284 appearances and played in numerous positions like full back, wing, stand off and back row without hesitation. It was said that if he had concentrated on one position, he could have been a full International.

When he left the club, played for Wigan St Patricks and later played for Swinton and Blackpool.

I was one who had the privilege of seeing him play at the latter end of his career when I first started to support the club.

Yes totally agree about the Uncle, remember him well as a loyal, solid, reliable player from the 70s. We need players like him in every RL teamI’m chasing his nephew also called Kevin.

Thanks for the comments. I contacted SOL and he put me onto his brother. Kevin is now sorted with his Heritage Certificate #1062 for St Helens RFC.

I think I remember him playing for Saints in a game v Wigan.

He did, it’s the one where we smashed them when they played a bunch of kids.

I didnt actually. Using a Saints.org e-mail address implied that it had a connection with the club. I now see that it is absolutely nothing to do with St Helens RLFC, hence why they had failed to locate one of their past players.

It was the centenary season (I think). It’s on YouTube anyway, O’Loughlin played in the centres.
