I suspect Joe Bretherton will get his debut.
www.wiganwarriors.com/news/2016- ... quad-named
Wigan Warriors have today named their 19-man squad for the Easter Monday fixture against Hull KR.
Luke Waterworth replaces Ben Flower in the squad and the hooker would make his first team debut if selected.
Flower was substituted with a leg injury on Good Friday and didn’t feature in the second half of the game.
Speaking ahead of the game, Warriors Head Coach Shaun Wane said: “Ben (Flower) has a tight hamstring, we can’t risk him but he should be ok for next week.
“It’ll be two busted teams on Monday and it’ll be down to who wants it more”
The Warriors will look to make it two wins from two over the Easter period against the Rovers who squandered a 20-0 lead against rivals Hull FC on Friday.
Wigan Warriors 19-man-squad
John Bateman, Joe Bretherton, Greg Burke, Josh Charnley, Tony Clubb, Anthony Gelling, Oliver Gildart, Nick Gregson, Dom Manfredi, Lee Mossop, Sean O’Loughlin, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Lewis Tierney, Joel Tomkins, Luke Waterworth
Tickets for this game are available from the DW Stadium Ticket Office, the Ticket Hotline – 0871 6633 552 and online HERE.

| Id rest Lockers without any question and I'd probably look to give guys like Clubb and Bateman plenty of minutes off the field if it's possible.
I'd go-
Tierney
Manfredi Gelling Gildart Charnley
Sarginson Smith
Sutton Powell Mossop
Tomkins Bateman Burke
Subs- Tautai Clubb Gregson Waterworth

| Don't know much about Waterworth.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Is Joe Bretherton related to Liam Bretherton who was on Wires books for sometime?

I can see the Easter Monday mauling of 3 years ago being eclipsed, unfortunately.

| It will be interesting to see how we line up for this one. If we rest SOL who will get the stand off shirt? Gregson played there at Leigh until he got clattered, otherwise we will be moving the full backs round. Do we go with two or even three young lads on the bench? Will Wane go back to spelling the hookers? Waterworth is a great passer of the ball but can he put in the high number of tackles required if both SOL and Powell are absent. The funny thing is that all the young lads seem to have a chance of making it this year whereas in the previous few seasons the players coming through after had some major and obvious weaknesses. Should be a good game

You do realise that, Gregson, Bretherton, Gildart and Waterworth were all in the Wigan U19's squad last year don't you.
Ryan Sutton is still only 20 and Tierney 21.

It wasn't an excellent result it was a win that served up the same tripe as every other game we have played in this season. The club is in desperate need of an attack/ backs coach, however with wane being as pig headed as he is I doubt we will get one, I'm really struggling to continue watching this brand of rugby something at the club has to change.

Well. I kinda enjoyed the 6 lovely tries our much-maligned backs scored.

What do you want at all? Easter Monday's are always a grind after the effort of Good Friday. The side is still missing some real quality in Tomkins, Williams, Faz etc but still had enough to take 7 wins from 8 after the international players had no pre season!
Look around you, we are 2nd on points difference and haven't hit top gear yet. I'd say the future looks very bright and whilst the rugby isn't as fluent as it could be, I'm sure it soon will be! If you can't enjoy it by all means stay at home! Otherwise support your club and get behind the lads regardless of who is pulling on the shirt.

Maybe I've been spoiled over the last 36yrs of watching them I don't know, but what I do know is that the rugby we are playing doesn't fill me with any confidence at the moment.

The fact that the rest of SL are worse than we are doesn't mask the fact we are a very dull team to watch. The only positive is we can grind results out better than the rest it seems. Yes the effort is good, yes it's good the kids are doing their bit, yes 7 wins from 8 games is a great start. Thing is, SL is garbage to watch, and Wigan are equally as dull as the rest. Every game in SL is the same, same plays by every team, just different names.
Am I being negative, even with 7 wins from 8 and a team full of kids? Yes I am, because we are so bereft world class talent, ideas and craft it's not even close to being a positive.

| A wins a win I suppose. It was far from pretty but Leeds and Wire would have taken an ugly win today.
One thing today has confirmed- Tierney can't ever be picked ahead of Sarginson at full back again. He doesn't do a lot wrong when he's involved (his horror drop aside) but he doesn't get involved enough. We play a whole game plan that revolves around a really busy full back popping up all over the field but Tierney doesn't do that.
Sarge was the difference tonight for me. He's been fantastic over the Easter weekend.

I agree with you. I've also been watching Wigan since 1979 and yes we have been spoiled rotten! However I try to keep a realistic head. SL will never attract the Brett Kenny, Mal Meninga class of player again and the worlds best players will always remain in the NRL.
I worry about our lack of creativity this last couple of seasons but I'm still a glass half full bloke. I think we have more improvement in us than any other side and when we hit our straps for 80 minutes we will destroy somebody! It'll come, soon I hope!

Agree 100%
However some posters will be on here soon saying sarginson has never played well for Wigan etc.
Fantastic good Friday, changed the game along with TT and Powell tonight.
I've been very impressed since he's moved to FB this year (and to be honest I thought he did pretty well at centre early season).
