| Game not on the telly box? I was under the impression that all super 8s are on tv?

| I was under the impression that all the Super games would be avavilable either on SKY or SKY app. It seems odd when in previous rounds I have had access to two friday games at the same time and when there is a stand alone game its not available or is it?

| Amazing isn't it. All this promotional work and trying to raise the profile, They put it on billboards across London and plaster it all over the subways and then they don't even put it on the TV. You couldn't make it up.
Great work IL and Sky you have really got this one off to a flying start. Dead before it's alive this one. Brainfart of an idea. Would just top it off if we have surrendered a home advantage game to lose it, now that would be the absolute ripest cherry on top of the cake with Huddersfield breathing down our necks and looking seemingly on top form.

| I think part of the reasoning for taking the match to London was that it wouldn't be televised therefore getting a few more fans to travel down.

I think you'll find it's two live games (Thursday and Friday) plus one online. This week it's Hudd v Cas and Leeds v Saints live and Wire v Hull online. The middle eights live game is Halifax v Salford.
As I've said previously Melbourne took a home game to New Zealand, Souths took one to Perth, Manly to the Central Coast and another game was played in Darwen. RL fans over here seem so insular, is it any wonder we're still regarded as an M62 corridor game?
What is a BIG concern is that it seems a LOT of fans (even Wigan ones) appear to want the game on Saturday to fail. I really can't get my head around that attitude.

It just doesn't seem to be achieving anything though. IL can talk in the press about growing the game outside the heartlands, building relationships with sponsors, getting more fans, creating a new talent pool etc but this game doesn't seem like the right setting to do any of that. The ground has been chosen because it's cheap, there isn't a local fanbase that is going to be tapped into, it's had very little press attention, the majority of Wigan fans don't want it, it isn't going to make any money. It needs to be a much more showcase event IMO. A MW at the Olympic Stadium, or the Emirates or something similar, with 40,000+ in attendance, might gain interest and go about achieving some of the goals IL has spoken about, but 5/6k on in Millwall watching a regular league game doesn't tick any boxes.
I definitely don't want anything the club does to fail and I will happily eat my words.

| I agree with everyone! I don't want it to fail, but I can't see IL's objectives being reached by a game at Millwall. I'd like to see Leeds, Saints, etc, following suit, though, as noted re the NRL. And not just in London either, but Birmingham, Newcastle, WHY.
(That said, I don't think the comparison with the NRL is that precise; I'd imagine that Cooper Cronk and Shaun Johnson are much more household names across the whole country there than, say, Rangi Chase and Jamie Peacock are here)

And now Saints , there is no way this was going to be on TV imagine the attendance if it had been, as said before wrong game wrong ground wrong time to try this IL , boy I hope we get the 2 points.
If you want to promote the game in London check Groupon out today and see what Saracens are doing , does their home ground hold about 10k but they have a double header at Twickenham then also taking the home game against Harlequins to Wembley , a bit different from an empty ground at Millwall

| Why do we need 3 wingers in a squad of 19?
Is it because it is easier to drop Hamphshire? Perish the thought.
What has Patrick done the whole season to be even considered for the 19? Sutton is twice the player even now than Patrick ever will be.
Find the omission of both players bewildering and a little pathetic particularly the exclusion of Sutton for "the ghost" aka Patrick

| I'm sure of one thing; despite their poor away record I reckon the Catalans will be really up for this. They have every incentive to want to spoil our party, and the game being in London hands them a head start. They have some real quality in their side, and we will have to be good to beat them. If nothing else, after the disappointment of the Cup Final, I'm looking forward to a good game fo footy.

| This game has very very little to do with generating new fans in my opinion and everything to do with forging stronger links with the business community.
It is a further opportunity to invite and engage with financial muscle that others in our sport are not attempting to tap in to.

If we get a top sponsor out of today then the exercise will have been an outstanding success. I'm more hopeful than expecting a new sponsor but fully support the club in the effort.
I think we will win by +12 as we owe the one from our trouncing at their place.

| Wigan put the game to bed with three tries in the last six minutes. Sounds like they made hard work of it first half but a great result - Matty Bowen looks like he's going to get the MOM award.
42-16 last few minutes.

Nice win.
I'd like to see the breakdown of ST, casual, home & away and walk-ups. It'll only be a success if there's a good proportion of the curious and potential converts.
With everything being geared towards the other side of the capital, Sky showing Fax & Salford and the ODI on 5LiveXtra, the only comentary was on BBC Manc. We never stood a chance of this being as high profile as IL might have liked. I'd also posit that many of the Business Club that were persuaded to go along for the odd languistine ciabatta are wondering whether they're going to get value for money.
The concept is valid, the timing and location weren't.
Can we now get back to the serious stuff please.

As much as the control freak inside you wants to see it you'll never see that breakdown.
And there was national radio coverage involving Sarginson and Matty Smith which plenty of Londoners will have taken notice of. I'm guessing don't live in London either so you aren't exactly the target demographic that the club was marketing towards.
