| Incredible performance. The Burgess try would never have happened without his 4 consecutive tackles. Big hits throughout the game as well. Started this season immensely and been our best forward so far I'd say. One of our best signings for many a year considering nobody expected much when we signed him.

| Said exactly the same, he took that defensive set by the scruff of the neck. Take a bow my son.
And the rest of the team can't really be faulted either. The defensive effort was amazing. Controlled aggression!

| We looked very vulnerable when Clubb, Mossop and MM were off the field, thought they were all superb today.
I've been Faz's biggest critic this year but thought he was awesome today.
Pack certainly earned some respect today.

| I've been critical of Larne Patrick. I still don't understand why we recruited him but he was decent today as well.
I was disappointed with Tautai again though. He looks promising when he's on the field but he seems to be doing even less minutes than Mose Masoe! He must have either picked up yet another knock/injury today or he desperately needs to get on a treadmill. It's frustrating when he is playing brilliantly but can only manage 10 minute spells.

| Saints injuries tipped it our way pre game but the weather and that pitch suited Saints weight advantage massively.
Some incredible efforts in that pack today led by Clubb.

That's true.
I'm happy we won. Credit to Wane for mixing it up. That's the kind of defence we need to see. We smashed them.
Faz, Clubb and Manfredi stood up.
BUT
1- Considering the team Saints had out and how the game went with injuries we should have been looking at a big win. 24months ago we'd have won by 30
2- We are missing Flower. When he comes back it will stop the drop in intensity when Clubb and Mossop go offf.
3- Still worried about our halves. Don't think they are good enough or creative enough to take us to the title.

| Good win and a tremendously committed performance from the players, but I worry about playing a fully healthy Saints side.
They absolutely bossed it in the forwards.

| Defense was superb this aft & Manfredi's quick thinking after the charge down was a joy. Agree about Tautai though, he looked like he'd done a full 80 when he came off, not 10. Needs to get on the treadmill.
Well done all.

Do you think? I thought your pack really hurt ours with your degence and your pack really put themselves about today.
Mental Micky put some really good shots on today as did Clubb.

| Watching in lanzarote Clubb was impressive but I think that Farrell and Tomkins, Bateman did the math St minutes and were the cornerstones of a he win. Manfredi and William were good and the other lads never let the tea down. Good team performance.

| Clubb and Mossop need to stay on the pitch longer. Patrick and Tautai are powderpuff in comparison. Both were good in defence today but they offer no go forward whatsoever and Patrick always seems to have a soft error in him. Looking forward to having Flower and Crosby back!

| Patrick showed nothing at all again for me. Tautai I feel when we get Flower back will improve as we will have 3 Props capable of big minutes and impact.
I still think we are a Prop short and hope we are looking to recruit for next year.

The reason Tony Clubb was so effective in the last 20 mins (as usual) is down to how fresh he is compared to the tiring opposition forwards. If he played more minutes he would be less effective. He's a big unit

| Was a good confidence builder that for the season going forwards. Can't say I am that disappointed with the result. It was a tough intense game of RL and we kept in the game and played with the same intensity up to the 78th minute, when Makinson had a brain fart and that was the game.
No quibbles here.

I hope this is some sort of sarcasm. If not, I suggest you watch another sport as you clearly know nothing about rugby.

| Wigan were dominant through the entire game physically, time and time again Wigan made 5+ meters at the end of every six, outside of any breaks.
Get Flower back and the half backs clicking and there's a very good side. As it stands, there's a team (just as depleted by injuries and bans as Saints, and with a disrupted half back pair) who can stand toe to toe with the top six. From a league point of view, this matters more than having everyone fit for that perfect team. When we hit the playoffs the squad depth matters but having the right players available at the end is critical.
Today, squad depth was shown with both teams missing players. I'm sure that there will be a few "but they are not first choice" comments, but who is?

| Tony Clubb was immense today and I thought he was MoM by some distance. That said, George Williams had his best game as a stand off and played very well. I now agree that he needs a decent run in that position. Hampshire showed why Wane sees him as a full back and he too needs a decent run in that position and notably, I thought Manfredi played in such a way I forgot Charnley wasn't playing!
Wigan have played awful rugby most of this season and are now 3rd in the league.
There'll come a day (soon I hope) when everything clicks and somebody will be in for a real hiding!
Great game of old fashioned RL today.

I agree with all above except the 3rd point, we've got to stop knocking these guys IMO they gave 100%

Check the stats mate. Looked pretty even in the fowards to me. No way did saints boss the forwards and nether did Wigan.
Did you watch the game ?
